Kennen attack during E

It goes without saying that Kennen is much better as a Mage than a marksman and there doesn't seem to be much point in the damage amplification every 5 auto attacks for his w. (I'm not saying take away applying the mark.)

How about letting him attack during his e and take away the bonus attack damage on his w? This just seems to make more sense for his kit.
