Does Veigar's auto-attack scale with AP?

Monlyth··1 votes·2,401 views

Title. I've noticed that when I play Veigar , my auto-attack does much more damage than I'd expect for a full AP champ. This is especially noticeable with turrets and inhibitors, where I sometimes hit them for 400 damage per attack in the late game.

So does anyone know if Veigar's auto-attack scales with AP? And if so, is there any in-game way to tell if your champion's auto-attack does this?

Turrets, inhibs and the Nexus take 60% of your AP if its higher than your ad.

sometimes at the end of a veigar game I switch to lich bane to literally oneshot towers

all ap champs do a small % of their ap on their autos to help cs

Not to cs, but to push towers with.

You also deal magic damage to towers, inhibitors and the Nexus when you have more AP than AD

I downvoted him because he was wrong. I don't like wrong answers being towards the top of a discussion.

What you said was plain wrong, though I am sure you meant the right thing. I didn't downvote you though, you're on +1 now, so let me give you another one /shrug

Only against turrets and inhibs unless you build an item that makes them scale with AP like item 3115 or item 3100

Turret damage scaling is either 100% total AD or 100% base AD + 60% AP, whichever is higher, with on-hit effects that affect turrets (most don't) added afterwards.

Yeah, it's only against objectives(not Baron/Dragon though).
