Mega Adhesive (Technically a Singed related Synergy buff)

Introduction

So, a friend of mine mains Singed, and after a bit of time away from the game they came back and tried to get back into playing Singed and we found some interesting quirks to him and came up with what we thought was an interesting suggestion to change mega adhesive to make it more relevant in the current state of the game. I also came up with another idea that could be interesting, but will just be thrown in at the end as more of a joke than a proper suggestion. So without further ado, let's get into it.

Reasoning

Doing some searching around we discovered that there is an ability with a fairly similar purpose to Mega Adhesive, that being Cassiopeia's Miasma. You know, the purple cloud that perma-slows anything inside of it, stops all movement abilities, deals damage, and empowers her Twin Fang? So to compare some stats, at max rank Mega Adhesive slows for 75% so long as an enemy stays inside of it, but it can be dashed out of by... most of the popular champions in the game at the moment, and literally anybody who takes flash, meaning that in most team fights Singed can only contribute fling and well, damage. Meanwhile Cassiopeia can throw down Miasma which also contributes a slow, a slow that is actually stronger (only by 5%, but still), and also has a bunch of additional effects, while Mega Adhesive contributes a mildly annoying field that you simply avoid or jump out of unless he can position himself to properly fling you into it, which only roots you briefly.

Tanks in a game like League only really contribute anything if they can either crowd control enemies reliably, protect their allies from divers, or contribute such heavy hits that they can't just be ignored in favor of hitting fleshier targets. Singed contributes an easily worked around slow, one instance of hard CC, and purely thanks to Rylai's can be pretty annoying if he gets to just sit next to you. This comes mostly due to the fact that Mega Adhesive does not contribute to his kit in any meaningful way outside of laning phase or running away from/onto particularly fast enemies, leaving Singed as almost a pure split pusher and proxy farmer, which leads to his widely disliked playstyle of feeding until he wins because he wastes so much of the enemy's time.

Suggested Change

So here's the idea that we had to make Mega Adhesive contribute more in teamfights for the games where your team can't just 4v5 while you break down the enemy's... everything. Make Mega Adhesive function similar to the active of Poppy's W, Steadfast Presence minus the damage. I'm not sure how Poppy's ability functions in terms of ally applied displacement into the field while active, but make Mega Adhesive apply the rooting effect if an enemy is displaced or attempt to dash through/out of it. This would allow Singed to help keep divers off of his backline and force engages more consistently than he is currently able to, meaning that he can contribute properly as a tank in teamfights when the need arises.

Bonus Round!

This is the pseudo joking change I mentioned earlier, just because I think it would fit with the fact that thematically he is just throwing really strong glue on people. Enemies hit directly by the cast of Mega Adhesive become completely coated in glue, trailing it with them for the duration of the ability. Basically if you hit a couple of people with the initial cast of the ability they will leave trails similar to Nocturne's Q, but you know, a slowing path as opposed to a speed boost and damage buff. Of course you would have to have the trail portion slow less than the original concentrated pool because a 75% permaslow trail strapped to half your team sounds just a little bit too annoying to let pass.

Conclusion

So, given the reasoning of why this change would be good for Singed in terms of making him more relevant in games where people don't mindlessly sprint after him, what do you think? Love the idea? Hate it with a fiery passion? Let me know, because personally I think that this would make Singed have not only a higher skill-cap but also allow him to fit properly into certain team comps to potentially bring him back into the competitive scene. Thanks for taking the time to read this for those of you who made it all the way through, and I hope you have a good rest of your day,
