What is the psychology behind "Tilting"

League of Legends has been my go to game since the end of 2013 (Season 3). I enjoy the gameplay, I enjoy the competitiveness of ranked matches, and I hate the community. In ranked games, I find myself sometimes going on a 5-7 game win streak, and I get so close to making into promos for the next division. Sadly, The game before promos, typically around 80-90 LP, I lose one game. That one game turns into a load of more lost games. I usually take a break after the first game or two of losing, and those breaks are sometimes an hour to a month. I've gotten into the habit of "If I lose one game, I'm on tilt and I won't know how long I will be on tilt."

Recently, I've somewhat broke my habit of negativity - at least I think I've gotten better on raging at the jungler for feeding my lane. I went on a win streak once again, and it carried me from bronze 1 to silver 3 so far in this season (Season 8). Right around 80 LP, I lost a game, and so I decided to try and play another one to get myself back up. Of course, I lose again. I take a day off and I come back...only to lose again. I repeat the process once more, and the same result: Loss.

The weird part is, I'm not emotional, I'm not triggered in any way, and I'm clear of any burdens right now, but I see myself not performing as well as I was prior to one lost game. Would anyone know why or how this is? Do and Psychologists play this game so we can get down to the bottom of this?

A few troubleshoot questions you may ask me:

Have you been playing other games in the same time frame as LoL? Yes, I have been playing other games.

Have you been distracted by out-of-game disturbances? Not really. I had to get laundry, but that took about 10-15 seconds. I've also been working on a project, but I put that aside when I get on LoL.

Lack of rest? Perhaps.

Upset over the Eagles losing the Super Bowl? HELL NO, TOM BRADY NEEDED TO LOSE!

EDIT: I put this under gameplay because tilting affects gameplay.
