Akali Revert: The Healthiest Option?

Pre-rework, I loved Akali. I mained Akali mid/top and would even play her jungle from time to time. She was very fun to me with a kit that made sense and could both be flashy and keep you safe at the same time. She had potential to outplay and to be outplayed. She required a low skill floor to understand her abilities but had a high skill cap learning how to effectively flank and team fight without getting caught and blown up with a small shroud. So many outplays were possible with the small blink the shroud provided the champion was fun and diverse.

To be fair, I am relatively new to the game and only started playing around the preseason of 6/start of 7. However, that doesn't stop me from missing the beast that was old Akali. No, she was not the "e over four walls and go invisible under tower with an AOE stun" we know today, but I think from the win and ban rates we know that is NOT what the community wants.

We don't want an unstable champion with win rates fluctuating from patch to patch based on poorly thought out item and rune changes. We don't want to be ravaged under our turret, the only safe place in lane for twenty minutes as we desperately try to catch CS while Akali roams.

Akali players want to be able to play their champion in their games, and also have a decent win rate. The current kit and play style of Akali is not fun for anyone involved.

Why then has nobody on the forums introduced the idea that I've been asking for ever since her rework was announced?

DON'T

Reverting Akali would, without a doubt, be the most healthy change for the overall state of both the game and the champion. She may need tuning and minor changes in order to keep her in check in this meta and with the new runes, but honestly I believe this is the right step.

Of course, a visual update would be welcome too to represent her old weapons and abilities at the standards of the game today :)

I'm very interested in what any of you have to say on this issue, and certainly want to ask any Rioters reading this post if the possibility of a revert has come up and why the idea wasn't taken farther.

                                                                             Love,
                                                                                  Someone Missing Old ![Akali](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Akali.png)

Peak boards is saying that old Akali was healthy

I completely agree with all of this, this new akali is clearly struggling so hard in this state in the game and it will continue to no matter how many times you buff or nerf her kit. I am sorry to say but it’s just not a good champion, whoever made it had poor judgement. Whoever’s decision it was to rework her has poor judgement as well

I'm not sure this version of Akali can be balanced properly and even if she is, neither her mains nor the people who play against her will be happy with it.

I say put her back to the drawing board and bring back crimson akali while they're at it.
