4 flashes hard cc true damage incredible sustain 2 lockon spells low mana costs low cooldowns strong laning phase strong mid game good late game assassination potential

'healthy balanced champion' Ahri

In before Ahri mains tears about how their cancerous ELO machine takes "skill" and is a "strong, but totally balanced pick" due to tons of "healthy counterplay"

Riven and Leblanc have some competition

Not to rain on your parade, but her Ult is not a Flash. It has a CD between them, and is a dash with travel time; it'll take you over walls, but won't ignore any mechanics in between.

You can talk shit all you want, but use facts when you do.

While Ahri's strong, she's not NEARLY as strong as you make her out to be - she is defeatable.

Her early sustain is mediocre at best, she doesn't have 4 flashes - she has 3 dashes. Dodge her 100-0 potential by simply dodging charm, rendering her without assassination potential for 12 seconds. The only reasons you should ever be hit by q on it's return for true damage are: charmed (partially your fault, though we understand eventually one will land), hit at the very end of its range (your fault for not side stepping), can't dodge cause you weren't aware of it (your fault again)

TL;DR: Be more mobile, it'll be harder for her to charm, negating a good chunk of her power.

12 seconds where she can't 100-0 me! oh boy!

MrPerson102 votes

12 seconds you can repeatedly sidestep if you have a brain and know how to right click.

destiny fan1 votes

i've seen this argument before...

remember old nidalee threads?

MrPerson103 votes

12 second CD =/= 6 second CD. Javelins also have a wider hitbox.

destiny fan1 votes

its the same principle, also the charm is faster moving and has a secondary effect on it, also ahri is as if not safer than nidalee, i'd argue that charm has more value

MrPerson103 votes

Ahri is in no way safer than Nidalee. Not only is nidalee safer in that she has FAR greater range on her Q (a whopping 1500 range, comparable only by TF's Q at 1250, also easily dodged as would her Q be if it weren't for the massive hitbox) which does an IMMENSE amount of damage per hit, upto literally eliminating an ADC in a single hit (450 + 120% AP can easily top 1400 damage)

Want to chase Ahri, she spirit rushes away three times then has to walk or flash, Nidalee can cougar form and Pounce away every 5 seconds, infinitely, until her mana runs out - but let's not forget its also at the super low cost of 60 mana at max rank, 40 at first.

Please, tell me how Ahri is in any way a champ that rewards a safer playstyle than Nidalee does.

destiny fan2 votes

3 times in quick sucession, she can win distance faster

plus the hitbox for charm is larger than current nidalee's Q and also on top of bonus damage has hard CC please explain to me how nidalee can hard CC an enemy and run away at the same time

doesn't this make ahri safer?

MrPerson102 votes

"quick" with a 1 second CD between them.

Kalista lmk when you escape her.

Edit: let's not forget you're forced to burn an ultimate spell for that escape. And that's all you're doing is escaping. That's like Pantheon burning his ult to get out - you would VERY rarely ever see that as effective.

hard CC

MrPerson102 votes

Charm requires a range of 975 or lesser and is again, a skillshot.

You cannot hard CC reliably, especially when being chased by someone who blinks with every AA.

destiny fan1 votes

HA good one, you can throw the CC as she's "blinking" (its a dash) where she's gonna land, she can't cancel the AA animation

MrPerson102 votes

You have no indicator of where she lands, smart one. How you gonna know if she's blinking sideways 200 units or 25 units? Forward or backward? You're not going to know.

Try again.

destiny fan1 votes

she's literally chasing you, are you dense?

MrPerson102 votes

She can literally strafe back and forth, have you NEVER played with, as or against a Kalista? Your AS allows you to dash with every single AA, allows you to move a hell of a lot faster than you seem to think.

You're just bad and can't dodge or dumb enough to be out in the open. Remember she can't charm through minions and learn to flash dodge unless you have bad reaction time. Late game, tanks should be keeping Ahri off when possible. It starts out as only 1 second and charm is usually the last thing an Ahri will max. She doesn't do as much dmg until she gets fed. Leona is someone with "hard cc"

destiny fan1 votes

throwing charm at max range for engages

not having 3 seconds of disable is not having hard CC

the dodge argument is out of the question, when 2 relatively skilled players play, skillshots are going to be landed

ok buddy

silver 5 calling people bad

and an ahri main to boot

Fur Fox Sake1 votes

awh how adorable you looked me up lmfao ranked accounts for your teammates skill too, its not even close from a personal ranking. There's also luck. You can win lane but not carry the amount of baddies in bronze/silver since a lot of unexperienced players are in these elos also the amount of trollers and afks. & lmfao it's sad how much you're complaining about a champ designed to take risks when trying to kill you. She now has to be close to even set w off to you and is reliant off of skillshots and if she misses she's easily dead. It's risk and reward. She's balanced at the moment.

destiny fan1 votes

"its my teammates fault, i do not belong in silver"

because no one has said that ever

please stop posting you're embarassing yourself

Fur Fox Sake1 votes

If I manage to win lane 90% of the time, and still have excellent kdas while losing that shows how much your teammates have an affect on the game, wether their feeding too hard, trolling, or sitting afk at base for immature reasons. I don't think you know the ranked experience at all and is this your main account? Let me see your main if you want to "prove me wrong" & I never said it was entirely my teams fault but if they feed and don't know how to play safe nor how to play/build their own champ correctly then it partly does because you can't carry an entire team who can't fight well in the first place.

Silver and Bronze are the worst places to get out of because it's all about the luck of skilled, experienced players on your teams, no afks, and people with good attitudes. I got to Gold last season, I've seen a lot. & Of course you have to have your own personal skill but remember you're placed with 4 or 3 other random people who you are dependent on too. I am not even close to embarrassing myself. You are by complaining about a champ who is balanced and only does massive damage to melt someone squishy when fed and is 2 levels ahead of you. She's not a burst mage anymore, just don't feed her. You're complaining about a champion who is skill shot dependent and is all about risk and reward. & btw if you're such a skilled player like you think you are, you can dodge just as easily.

Nidalee was a different beast. Ahri's absurd escapability is tied to an ultimate and hurts her fighting ability if she uses it defensively. Her charm is easier to avoid, has shorter range, a longer cooldown and actually has a mana cost.

Not saying Ahri is perfect but comparing her to Nidalee isn't being very fair to how broken Nidalee used to be.

destiny fan1 votes

never said it was as broken, problem is the "just dodge" argument is dumb, and nidalee is a perfect example of this
