For some reason when me and my cousin play ranked together we have the worst matchups, but when we play separate our matches are at our elo. He is Silver 5 I am Bronze 3, we do fine in our separate games and we do great together, but the teams we are placed with are horrible. why?

it's the mmr. it gets harder for your team when you duo Q. riot expects the quo to work better together so they make it harder than if you two were solo and ended in the same game.
