AD is typically not what comes to mind when we think of support, because the fundamental difference of AD and AP is AD buffs your autos. Which means you have less power budget in your button presses which is typically not the recipe you think about when you start out to make a support. Obviously you could just make the scalings AD but really bad so no one buys AD but that would be cheating. This doesn't mean its impossible (we have mf running around as support for one, and poppy was decent at some point) but more to explain why it would be more out of the norm

My two cents: It's interesting, but what's really the problem in making a support's autos stronger? I mean, it would have made sense in S3 when all champs you played support were taken for their utility because they couldn't build anything, but now that things like brand or vel'koz support are a thing (who are taken mostly for damage, and a bit of CCs), I can imagine an AD support.

Or am I missing something? Maybe an AD support would have too much objective control? But isn't that why Ziggs is being played support lately?
