I have a friend who was gold 5 last season, and I was plat 5 last season. So we should be able to play together. But when we try to duo queue, it gives us the message that our skill difference is too high None of us have played a placement match. Is this intended?
Good, cause this fucks matchmaking up so badly.
You should only be allowed to duo queue with a player that's 1-2 divisions higher or lower than you, that way MMR doesn't get fucked with for both teams.
A clear case is when I played last season, I had a duo queue on my team in a high Silver game where the duo queue was gold 5 playing with a plat 5, you can only imagine who won that game.
well with the addition of iron, the average player skill most probably moved down to high bronze, so he could still have that mmr. perhaps thats why.
