a mechanic that could help low elo players greatly
the mechanic i want to talk about is called "preemptive action". It is used to cancel significant abilities and to survive in team fights. SImply put, this is just using your abilities ahead of time to cancel another ability. Take, for example, an irelia vs vayne. In a team fight as vayne, I know clearly that their irelia is going to dash on to me, so the second the team fight erupts and I see their irelia walking towards me, i get ready to apply preemptive action. I know that irelia's q has a greater range than my vayne e, so when she gets close to me, i press e(by this time, irelia will have already started her q animation) and cancel irelia's engage mid dash. With no abilities left to hard engage(besides flash), we can kill her easily. Another case of this is vayne vs katarina. If you know she's going to jump on you with shunpo(shunpo range is greater than ur condemn range), you can cast e preemptively and she kill be knocked away right as she jumps on you. This is crucial in some teamfights because kat might press r immediately after e, and you can cancel her ult with condemn. This works with other champions, though not very conspicuous. Take annie/tf vs zed or kindred. Kindred knows that she is a squishy marksman, so if she seems a tf gold card flying at her, she should use ulti before she's stunned to hell. And with annie, if a teamfight erupts and you see people clumped up, kindred should immediately realize that ulting is the way to go so that annie doesnt wreak havoc with tibbers. This mechanic has won me many fights, and i think many people know it but don't use it. Let me know if you think it's useful
