so this zhonya possibly one of the most fking cancerous item present in the game?
but every now and then some noob mage main comes in here crying about how MAW is 100X better than their OPlelFkAllAssassin item 9x ban all mages

you've lost the match right there. you now cannot target anyone, cause if u manage to reach your target through all dat cc and shit, you'll just blow all your abilities and cooldowns and they'll just press a button, BAM fk you. that ~2 second is enough for the rest 4 of them to delete you off da map. and this is never off cooldown! every time you lose a team fight, u respawn and there is another team fight. guess what, its off CD again. BAM fk you again assassin shit.

BOO HOO my lifesaver item too expensive waaaaaaaa!

this fking shit item should be deleted right away, riot plz

" No. It shouldn´t be deleted right away since its basically the only actual defensive item that mages have against assassins while assassins have plenty to beat mages with.

If they do, they either lack mana and damage so bad that you can just push them to base because they can't even waveclear, or it is so late in the game that half or more of your team has Maws and Sterak's, so you are still in advantage.

It's a 90 second cooldown (ie, it's longer than most activation cooldowns), it's the only real option that APs have for building armor, it's a fairly expensive item, and in a game dominated by CC it's fairly healthy to have around. I'm not seeing any real negatives here other than the lack of equivalent items for other roles, which is less "Remove this" and more "Give this to everyone else too".

Don't blame the item. Look to yourself. Find a way to counter it. Figure out what Zhonya's is taking away from them. Take advantage of the fact that they can't act either until they're out of the effect.

Though really, I am curious as to what champ you had this issue on.

It is put there so there is counter play to the assassins. If it wasnt there then mages would suck
