Potential Morgana Change (W)

As a player who has played a lot of Morgana in the past 5 or so seasons, I have two minor issues with her W tormented soil.

First, it is a largely uninteractive ability. You drop it on the minion wave (or on an enemy champ after landing Q) and just leave it. There's rather little room for skill expression in its use beyond maximizing the spell vamp and cooldown part of it.

Second, the radius isn't large enough to put it under both the melee and ranged minion lines unless they are bunched up. This means you have to choose which one to plant it under and since it can fully clear the ranged minion back line once leveled 3 times, that's the one you usually choose.

Third, as support Morgana, using the W to poke and proc Spell Thief's is annoying because it will often deal significant amounts of damage to the minion wave. With bandit removed, I feel that this will become more of an issue (still it's a small one).

Here is my proposal: Increase the radius of Morgana's W tormented soil such that it can just barely hit both the melee minions and ranged minions if the minion lines are at their normal spacing. However, there needs to be two radii to Tormented Soil. Like Zigg's and Leona's ultimates, there should be a smaller circle within a larger circle. Minions, monsters, and champions in the outer circle only take 80% of the damage. Minions, monsters, and champions in the inner circle take 120% damage. The inner circle should be smaller in radius than Morgana's current W radius.

The idea is for the pool as a sum to do the same amount of damage as it currently does. The amount of damage put out isn't the issue. But split up the damage between an inner circle and outer one.

This would hurt her mid push at very early stages but once she completes an item and puts 3-4 points in W her wave clear would be the same or better than it currently is. Also, you can always revert to just putting the center of the W on the back (or front) line if you want.

Why do this? Here are a few reasons: First, Morgana players who can land Q and quickly drop W right on the enemy will be rewarded by dealing more damage. This is more skill expression. Second, enemy champions facing Morgana can choose to walk up closer to minion waves themselves without taking as much damage. Third, support Morgana's who clip a minion wave when casting W for poke won't push the minion wave as hard.
