Can Elementalist Lux's 2nd form scaling be lessened a little more?

Does anyone else think it seems like it really takes forever to reach Elementalist Lux's 2nd form? It is surprising how quickly you can reach your first form, but the scaling skyrockets for the level of effort to reach your second form. I was at 97% at one point and landed my Q, E, and R on 2 enemies only to get to 99%! I get it that you have to work a bit more to reach it, but that climb appears to steepen a little too much in my opinion. When it only goes up with spells landed on champions (AA doesn't count nor do minions I believe), playing against skilled players can easily make it take forever if not almost impossible to reach Lux's second form to enjoy. I know Riot doesn't want us to under-appreciate her first forms by blowing through them, but it would be nice if they could lessen the amount of work to get to that second form and be able to enjoy that too before a match is actually over. I haven't gotten her on ARAM yet, so I am unaware if it can be reached more quickly on a narrow map with 5 champs in front of you (in what normally averages in 20 minute matches).

Yeah my girl just bought elementalist lux, we went into a custom.. And oh my god... it takes forever to upgrade

Out of curiosity, how long was the average for you guys to reach it?

I let her kill me 4 times and she was like 8-1. Took i think 30 minutes? +

It's called being good. The more spells you don't miss the faster it rises. It's to promote people to get better at the champion.

I figured there would be a "get gud"-like response with the way this community can be at times. At least it's not so much troll like. Yes, I was hitting my spells and keeping track at the same time. As I said in my original post. I landed 3 spells, including my ultimate, in a solid burst and saw it only go up a few percentage points instead of going over. Add into that that Lux's spells are not all that hard to dodge if you know how to.
