Which champions have the highest burst
Hi, I was just wondering what champions you guys thought have the highest burst damage in the shortest amount of time for both AD and AP. Thanks for the help

Diana is very good atm, in the jungle with the runi echoes. Once you use your ultimate and q, ultimate is reseted after you hit your q. And the ultimate is very fast too, 20 seconds.
How's Viktor, because you seem laser beams before right? He just need to drop laser and this ultimate called chaos storm tha tfollows enemies around.
If you don't like any of these, remeber those times where you're laning then the enemy comes. Who is that enemy that youre scared of. LIke holy crap, i'm going to die, for sure.
These champions have the highest instant burst, listed in order of strength/viability for pure burst builds.
Note: I'm not saying that Veigar is stronger than Zed, I'm just saying that he works better than him with pure burst builds (AP + mpen or AD + arpen focused). Zed will outperform Veigar with a typical AD/AS/CDR/arpen build.
Don't just pick these champs thinking you'll carry though, it's tempting to go for burst champs when you're new to the game but honestly you're better off picking something more versatile until you're better at the game. Look up easy "beginner friendly" champs on Google, just because they're easy doesn't mean they're weak. Case in point, the current statistically best support is Janna, and she's one of the easiest champions in the game to play.
Syndra has historically topped the max-burst charts in a lot of mage/AP comparisons I've seen. With her QWER combo using 1 Q in her ult gets pretty crazy, at ~1500+~2.9.
Fiddle wins by a landslide in a 5-second comparison, hitting 2960 base + 585% AP. Though that's not exactly "burst" in his case seeing as committed sustained-damage champions are usually capable of sealing the deal in ~5 seconds. Still beats double-Kat combo though, which is mildly amusing.
I can offer some points of reference for burst as well: I've compared a lot of QWER burst-rotations, and barring best-case scenarios like max duration in Cassy poison, several reflected AA's vs. Annie's shield, Lux using her passive to AA after every skill, etc: you're looking at just under 1000+2.25 AP for an AP's QWER burst rotation. Best-case-scenarios are all over the place. Some champions like LeBlanc don't really have any bonuses from optimal usage where other's like Annie can milk a pretty stupid level of damage out of a 45-second duration minion.
But 1000 @18 +2.25% AP is pretty standard if you're just looking at 1 damage application per button press.
Most AD's are pretty close to 1000 base @18 as well, though their AD scaling is all-over the place, ranging from garbage with Kha'Zix to pretty friggin' impressive with Riven. That said: base MR is 30+1.25/52.25@18 for melee champions and just 30 for ranged, where armor is ~20+3.5/75@18 for pretty much everyone. By which I mean Sona actually exceeds 75 armor from bases @18. Due to Baron/Dragon/Minions/Towers/Auto-attacks all being physical damage: you can also assume tanky champions will maintain a similar 52/75 ratio favoring armor where armor is pretty much always going to be higher.
So most AD QWER rotations seem to be designed with the idea in mind you finish a combo with at least 1 auto-attack, if nothing else than to match an otherwise equal looking QWER rotation from the magic-damage side of things. Because attack damage makes attacks do more damage this also makes sense, especially in dealing with champion passives like those on Riven, Yasou, and Zed that specifically work on an auto-attack.

Ik im late but if you want to kill someone with 1 button i suggest thats is if you can manage your spheres properly, she has the highest burst damage at level 6 and so on.
Pre-rework Talon was probably the fastest full rotation in the game (I could drop all of it in about 0.5 seconds) and it was a ton of burst too. Nowadays, maybe full AD Rengar (seen some obscene 1-shots from that shit). A good 6+ sphere Syndra R is probably the highest dmg ability in the game (at least that isn't a channel or damage over time)
Best/Easiest Burst Champions I've Played: AD: Talon AP: Xerath Both are very fun if you like one-shotting adc's while you're half asleep lol

Last I checked: Annie has the highest AP burst in the game; but its been a while, so that may no longer be accurate.
As for AD... Probably one of the AD assassins. But it's harder to say, given the current ADC meta.
- Zed EASILY, zed has the ability to kill people before they have the chance to react... 2.Syndra super strong as well if you want to kill with 1 button
Most other champions must be incredibly fed to even be able to deal as much dmg as these two in such a short period of time while they are able to do it with decent farm and average score.

3 years later... Are we gonna not y’all about Ekko? An e with Lich bane, into q, auto to proc passive (which also does a %max health damage if target is below 30% health) q coming back, and insane damage off of ult to top it all off. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve thrown down a w then ran out and ulted into a w stun and dealt more than half hp of an entire team and the q auto finishes them all off. Such a great champion design, I love you riot games.
Oh yeah, remove Akali from the game as well, that’s prolly the highest burst champ after her rework. Bc why would you not want to instaburst their tank under turret drop aggro and walk away spamming laugh?

i saw a sion build full lethality and he 1-shot everybody
probably has the highest bust.He turns less tanky bruisers into thin air in one tenth of a second if you hit the triple Q,he can make ADCs and Mages piss themselves just by looking at them.
But this is not exactly “burst”,it’s a combo that lasts less than the duration of your father’s longest sexual intercourse and deals more damage than you did to your parents while they raised you badly enough to say Syndra is an acceptable champion.
