Duo Queue Leads to Receiving Trolls

Alright, so I recently have been going on winning streaks in ranked, the times I decide to duo, I notice something very odd which makes no sense considering the other team must also have a duo - my team has people with significantly less MMR while the other team has people with significantly more MMR. Not only that, but it seems players on our team have very aggravating behavior issues and a general lack of mechanics/a concept of what competitive play is about. It seems league has developed a formula to discourage duo queue'ing, who has noticed this? Frustrated, so just QQ'ing to see if anyone else has had the same problem. Pretty much never gonna duo queue again because it screws up my ranking every single time, it's almost fool proof.

  1. The other team doesn't necessarily have a duo.

  2. If you and your duo partner are around the same MMR, the average MMR of the enemy team is higher when duoing than when you play solo.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a friend that I have played this game with for years now and it is nearly impossible for us to duo and makes the game pretty much awful for playing with friends. We get so screwed non-stop on the people we are matched with and we are put up against people significantly higher than us. We quit duoing for almost a year now. lol

I can say that there have been times I feel the same way, but irritable teammates are everywhere, and I soloQ enough to know there are always games I feel my adc's mechanics are lacking, or that my mid doesn't roam enough. The fact is, when we are losing, we want to know why to fix it, what we usually see (duo or solo) are the flaws in our teammates. As a jungle main, I often find myself blaming bot lane for our loss, they'll go 1-17, 0-9, 5-24. The fact is, I should've have baby sat them, made it impossible for them to die without punishing the other team too, I should've bought more wards to help them not get surprised by a gank. Instead, I either camped my duo partners lane, or if I'm solo I might have just helped whoever was nicest to me. All that to say, keep duoing man, I think the game is much more enjoyable when playing with a friend. Idk what role you play, but if you guys go bot together, make sure you know your matchups. Get, whichever one of you is, your adc a couple kills, and let the support roam while the adc just farms. If you guys don't go bot, GO HELP YOUR BOT, this is how you win games, no matter how fed your midlaner is, if your adc is 2 items behind and they have at least one tank, you guys will probably lose. I'd like to also hear what your role is, and what rank you/your partner are. Thanks!
