My main problem with auto fill

In theory i get it. Auto fill is there to improve queue times and get people into games quicker. That's all great, but what about the people who don't have all the runes unlocked and rune pages for every set up they want. We are given 2 rune pages to start you have to pay 6300 ip for an extra page i play a lot of league and still it would take me a week maybe 2 of playing all day to get enough ip to get rune page and a couple runes. It just doesn't seem fair to have such a hindrance to game play by gating the number of rune pages and runes you can have. Now I know people will say that you can buy rune pages with RP but that still doesn't change the fact that you can't buy runes with RP and most quints cost around 2k IP which is more than the casual player will get in a day.

So I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that if riot is going to improve queue time by forcing people into other roles than what they are comfortable playing then the least they can do is make it so that runes and rune pages are more accessible.

Yeah im forced to use my adc runes because i queue adc/mid and get top so adc darius :p

I bet you havent been playing this game for very long. This has literally been an issue since season 1 before auto fill was a thing. back when you got your role by pick order which was random. if anything this new ranked system made it easier back then u had to be ready to play any of the 5 roles now you really only have to be good with 3 different roles.

I've only been playing for about 6 months. The grind is so brutal! I finally gave in and bought a couple rune pages now i have 6 pages which i have used for the various champs that I can actually play and now I have to start buying runes that I never planned on using or wanted to use. It's really frustrating....
