Splitpushing this Season

So I recently played a game as who used to be one of the premier split-pusing champs, which got me to thinking. Needless to say he doesn't seem to be that amazing of a split-pusher right now, now when you got your .

Last season as Shen I could sit at a tower, walk up hit maybe one or twice before backing off again, running away when their team showed up and such. But this season it like, either drop an item in a lane and forgot about the lane or take a champ with a lot of AD and burst that tower before anyone could possibly react. And if you do react in time, kill you before taking the tower anyways.

Maybe its just the Meta the right now but it just feels like split-pushing is totally different from last season, at least to me. But maybe I'm wrong, what do you guys think?

The entire point of shen split pushing is because of his ultimate. He can split and react to team fights very quickly.

This. He was never very good at clearing minions, 1v1ing opponents, or killing towers. He was just okay at all three, and capable of being in more places than the enemy top laner.
