did you lower the settings on your graphics? their is a setting that disables creatures and other things.

Should be right next to character quality/graphics, just put everything back to max, if it doesn't return than i'm unsure what happened. i'm simply making a edjucated guess that the pac man is controlled by the graphic options just like the squirrels are.

now that is odd, hopefully someone else will have the answer for you. Sorry I wasn't of any help, maybe your mates have a few ideas on what happened.
