This Season = Downfall of League of Legends

I'm sure this post is going to be removed because Riot Games has slowly turned in to "give us all the feedback you can" to "negative feedback will be deleted," but here we go.

Due to the changes being made to the upcoming season, and the overemphasis of assassin and armor stacking at the same time (yup), I have come to the conclusion that League of Legends is going to die. Soon.

Riot Game. Has turned into a company that expressed the love for playing outside the meta and just having fun, in to a game where if you play outside the meta it is deemed "Toxic and a negative environment for other players by playing outside the meta." There are proofs and screenshots of Riot employees justifying bans for that exact reason.

This game has evolved to millions of players who have no say in their community. Where Riot focuses on board games before considering their player's needs for customer support, a community where passive aggression reigns king (even the Riot Employees are passive aggressive in-game and through customer support email), and a game that was made to be played because it is fun, not because you need a sense of achievement via ranks or performance.

Riot used to give all players an equal and fair chance in a tribunal or relooking at a case of punishment, be it bans, chat bans, or perma bans. Now Riot Games only cares for the professional players or those with any sort of visibility within the community from "reformed" professionals. Riot will tell any ordinary player who has showed proof of reform that they have been permabanned and it doesn't change the fact they WERE toxic, yet we see multiple cases of pros and streamers being unbanned due to their influence on the community to both watch and play this game.

In the end, this game is dying due to the useless gameplay changes being made (idgaf about an explosive flower in my jungle). It is dying due to the people running the game and "enforcing" their flawed judgement on the community that helped build them to who and where they are today.

I've had numerous of accounts and yes I have been perma banned for being toxic, but these days if you are toxic for 2 out of 100 games you've played, you are judged and punished quickly for those 2 games with ZERO consideration for the other 98, which is another flaw. Riot takes zero consideration to anyone personally or any situations they have been in. Most people play this game as a release from stresses in their life and they are damned for being triggered, more than likely by another person in the game, and Riot just tells you "sorry your toxic, now excuse me while I get a paycheck for sending out automated emails all day because we don't care to add a customer service line for the biggest competitive game in the f***ing world."

Rest in peace League of Legends and may your contradictions and hypocrisy be the end of you.

Moderators delete posts that break the Universal Rules, nothing else. Negative feedback doesn't inherently do that.

Metas come and go.

I can only assume you're referring to the Support Singed fiasco. The specialist which answered could have phrased it better, but banning people for breaking the meta was not the intended message. You can read a clarification of Riot's position on this matter here.

Where Riot focuses on board games before considering their player's needs for customer support...

Mechs vs Minions isn't interfering with Riot's focus on League support. I don't know what issue you had that makes you think it is, but if you had a problem with player support then say it, don't beat around the bush. I can't help with what you're giving me.

The Tribunal actually sucked. It was slow, and players didn't judge consistently. The Instant Feedback System works within 15 minutes of the triggering report and is consistent with how it handles cases. Is it perfect? No, but if you have an issue with its ruling you can request a manual review. Riot does not treat the average player differently than a streamer/pro; if they deserved a ban it will not be lifted any more than yours wouldn't be. You might be referring to cases such as Jensen, but he did not receive his accounts back, he was banned as a player and they lifted that so he can make new accounts and participate in pro play again.

It's extremely unlikely that 2 games out of 100 will get you punished, certainly not permabanned, unless you are extremely toxic so as to warrant it. If you are confused with why your case(s) was handled the way it was, feel free to post the reform card/tickets here so we can go over them with you. Sometimes mistakes are made, but as I said, Riot can manually review it and help if you didn't deserve it.

First there's complaints on balance, then there's complaints about the new ranked queue but then there's that guy that posts about how league is dying.

I actually feel the opposite. league of legends is in a very healthy state aside from the slightly dealing too much damage assassins. Support items feel great and i can truely see most champions being somewhat useful these days!

Lmao. This was said in season 6 too, but would you look at that! the game is still going strong.

Actually last season was the downfall, this season actually seems good tho.

There's always posts like this at the start of every season. Yet the game is still here.

Stop overreacting. It's the same stuff as last season, and the season before. They're doing some stuff better, and other stuff is going down hill. I can't recall a period where it wasn't like this. (I'm a pre-season 3, late season 2 player.)
