riot, fix the red and blue side problem for camera locked players

it's 2019, it shouldn't be that hard to mirror the camera angle for each side. It just feels so bad not being able to see more than 600 units outside of my tower. Some adcs can auto me from outside that range. It's not even some sort of counter play, its just an inherent disadvantage to what I believe is a decent part of the player base (locked camera players)

I agree brother. I don’t like unlocked camera because my mouse tends to move further than the screen, which moves the camera and can mess me up in very important moments during the game which annoys me.

When I first started playing (in the supp role) I hated redside bot lane, because you can’t see jack shit on a locked camera when the blue side wave is pushed to your tower. But after playing for a couple of years, and spending a lot more time in the bot lane as ADC, I learned to just deal with it lol.

I've never been able to properly get the hang of unlocked camera and am currently using per-side offset with brief unlocks for checking map and long-range skills. When they came out with semi-locked, I was excited, but the implementation was not what I was expecting.

I want a mode like semi-locked where I can keep it locked at an offset by nudging the edge of the screen, unlocking completely when desired, but when I push spacebar I WANT IT TO ALWAYS CENTER MY CHAMPION. As it is, I think space just brings you back to the offset you had while "locked" if you had unlocked. I need a way to center myself instantly, but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing it. (If anyone knows a way, let me know.)

Either fix this or add a new similar camera mode where space always centers you.

...a lot of people are just saying "oh unlock your camera". Can I just mention that Yassuo plays mostly on locked cam? Any of you consider yourselves better a player than that guy?

This would require each game to have a proxy game being played in the absolute reverse so that both teams could experience the map in the same orientation. This, in effect would require double the server capacity, since every game would have to have two mirrored matches running simultaneously. That's a lot of games, and that's a LOT of server space. It would most likely overload their servers, and I don't think they would even have the financial capacity to upkeep the sheer amount of servers needed to run every game as a proxy mirror.

What year is it?

The last time I heard a locked camera was like season 3. You do realize there's the semi-locked camera now, and also per-side offset that gives more view downwards on red side?

Uh. Lock screen actually makes me cringe. Learn to control your mouse speed when you move your camera. It will take a brief time to adjust but you will thank yourself later on

NGL I learned how to use minimap because I had to use it to keep track of where my laner was while I was on the top side

Riot ether needed the camera to ALWAYS be locked or never locked.

It Ruins the game for those that didnt even know you could unlock it.

Why tho, there has been a semi-locked camera for years. It's very useful and makes it very easy to see more of the areas around you without having an open camera

Easier than changing the camera angle would the be option the flip the HUD (interface on the bottom) vertically to different sides of the screen or to the top. It blocks a huge chunk of vision on red side.

I learned on locked because the person who taught me to play set up my settings for me. Wasn't even aware of unlocking until nearly two years later, and now I simply can't kill the habit. Camera being shifted so I can actually see would be so nice... ;-;

Have you tried using per side offset? The locked camera can be rebound to spacebar so you can easily recenter to your champion as well just by holding it down.

I dont care about Camera Locked players, they should learn how to play with wheel chairs

Who... never mind. I feel like this is from an ELO I will never understand. I'll give you an upvote cause... I feel bad for you.

Someone collected some data and concluded that one side does win more often than the other, by something like 3-5% I think.
