Have his abilities scale off ad. His kit seems very bruiser-like to me, and would be a really good bruiser top laner.

How about a hard no. He's meant to be a caster, with emphasis on his abilities. If his abilities scaled off of AD, that would allow him to become an auto-focused champion and that would open up a massive can of worms for him.
what about hybrid scaling? personally even if they are magical chains im pretty sure the physical entity is still gonna cut me. the ults can still keep AP nature though
