Do you guys feel like Aatrox is in a decent place right now?

I just played him a few times since he had his abilities redone and it's hard for me to gauge whether or not he's better, or I was just a better player in the games I used him. I felt pretty strong, the passive nerf to his GA effect really felt like it allowed power to flow into the rest of his kit but i'm just not sure.

What do you guys think of the aatrox changes and have any high mastery Aatrox players got any advice?

I play Aatrox.

The rework was successful in taking the 'toxic' part of his kit (albeit, the most fun part) where he could indefinitely sustain under 50% and 'drain-tank' champions that could not punish him enough to get him to pop into passive. The new passive and W feels stronger when they proc but are overall less oppressive when ahead. The healing has been significantly reduced and feels like a weaker Xin or Irelia heal seeing as how it only procs if you choose thirst over price, limiting your damage potential in a fight. The other changes issued to him (stat buff, QoL on Q, E and Ult) help cement him as a strong top lane fighter that primarily wants to build damage but is capable of being semi-durable with options such as titanic, cleaver, mallet, maw and general defensive items.

Overall, he's in a good spot right now - much better than his former feast or famine iteration. A little more boring now, but he can definitely go toe to toe with most of the champions in the league of legends roster and is actually a 'viable' champion.

I feel like he is in a good place... he is a tricky champion since he is a sustain based melee carry if he is too good it is oppressive (like when he first came out) if he is too weak he is useless (like for most of his time on the rift) the only change I would consider making on him is that when he uses Q currently he is unstoppable on the way down, but not on the way up. Q is a very important skill for him i would like him to be unstoppable on the way up as well as the way down.

He's still perfectly playable, as he always has been. Other people do what he does better though.

he's okay. wish his passive didnt require 5 stacks to get his attack speed buff on a single camp in the jungle(which applies when the camp is nearly dead already), but i doubt Riot is listening to what Aatrox players want rn with all the preseason changes coming up

Yeah same, they should have the AS build up slowly and when reach max stacks he gets a bigger AS buff.
