Junglers get too much gold and xp compared to the laners

I would often see junglers have as much or more cs than the laners. They would also be higher level. I feel like a jungler is kind of a second support and laners are the people who want to farm, get xp, and gold.

I suggest change the spawn timers of jungle from whatever time is now to about 1 min. And then nerf how much xp and gold the jungle monster give and this way heavy farms can still go a heavy farm route and junglers who gank wont be at a disadvantage.

Also, I thought I might add that junglers who start red and take the golems have a huge advantage compared to junglers who need blue buff because they get level 3 much faster than the blue buff junglers. I think that golems need nerfs or gromp needs a buff. But if you buff gromp, junglers will have more power so krugs will probably need a nerf.

If you are seeing junglers having more cs than mid laners, either they are taxing too often or the laners need to learn to cs. Average jungle cs dropped because camp respawn times were literally just made longer this preseason.

As a support main, I don't think making jungle into a second support is a particularly good idea. People already don't like support now because they don't get much gold or experience, making another role the same would cause tons of issues, particularly for queue times. I don't see why they shouldn't be able to get as much gold/exp as their laners if they're powerfarming.

The issue with jungle is that if you do not farm the jungle, you are at a huge disadvantage. Its not even really worth ganking because if you gank a lane, your whole other side of your jungle is open to being counter jungled. Its more worth to just keep farming.

One way to fix this issue would be to change jungle spawn timers to about one minute and then just simply nerf how much gold and xp they give. Now junglers wont be screwed over when ganking and people can start playing different playstyles.

If you're ganking, you should be giving your laners a bigger advantage than their jungler got just farming. If they counterjungle you instead of showing up to countergank, then you get both the kill and objectives. If your gank fails, the person farming rightly should come out ahead of that trade.

The risk of ganking: 1.) You fail your gank 2.) You get counter ganked and you die 3.) You loose your opposite side jungle 4.) You give enemy information as too where you are 5.) Enemy jungler will take an objective somewhere else on the map 6.) Enemy jungler is now ahead in terms of gold and xp because clearing a jungle side gives more gold and xp then a champion kill

Rewards of ganking: 1.) You get 300 gold (600 if botlane) 2.) You can try to take a tower 3.) You get some map pressure for a little while because its a 4 v 5. 4.) Your laner is ahead.

Generally its not really worth to even gank . If you just farm you will naturally be stronger than everyone else in the game and you can take this advantage and force things with it. Thats what I think is really dumb and is not the way jungle should be played.

If it's not worth it to gank, why are champions like Lee Sin so strong? Ganking is usually better than just farming, and you seem to be vastly underestimating the power of putting your laner ahead. Especially in close matchups, even a small advantage can send a lane spiraling one way or the other, and no amount of farm on your jungler is going to save you if all three of your lanes are losing because they've been ganked a couple times each.

The reason is that the game has changed. In previous seasons, you could just destroy your enemy lane and be done with it, but now the ganks are so strong that even if you destroy your enemy lane, it's meaningless unless the enemy jungler is dealt with. The proper way to winning is crippling the enemy jungler then going for the laner.

Its not even worth putting your laners ahead. The best way to put your laners ahead is too cripple the jungler. To cripple the jungler, you simply take his jungle. A side of a jungle is worth more gold than a kill.

I have no idea how true that is at the top levels of the game, but it definitely doesn't seem true in the games I play. Plus, he seems to be complaining about how strong ganks are, he literally says "the ganks are so strong that even if you destroy your enemy lane, it's meaningless unless the enemy jungler is dealt with". Overall, that quote seems to be arguing both sides a bit.

I can kinda see what he means in the fact that even if you dump mid lane kill the laner as soon as you leave bam their jungle comes kills your mid and it's back to square 1.

Well yeah, but that's the effect of one gank cancelling out another. That's the way it's always been, and if you're just trading kills back and forth, then no matter what happens neither team gets ahead because you're always giving a kill back for every one you get. If you nerf farming then people are only going to gank more, thus making it even harder to snowball a lane because the other jungler will always be there to countersnowball it because there's no reason to farm.

if you nerf anything else in the jungle you might as well have a duo top cause they would be useless.

How would a nerf to the jungle affect top lane?

Shifue Draven1 votes

Cause then jungle would become to much of a burden to bother with and either A) Will be limited to a few picks that can't fast clear or have decent aoes B) People will not have/play these picks and just become a 2nd support which is why duo top will become a thing.
