Will Pyke's passive go off if he's sitting on a ward?

PASSIVE: GIFT OF THE DROWNED ONES When Pyke is unseen by enemies, he rapidly regenerates some of the health recently lost to enemy champions.

So, if the enemy team has a ward in a brush, will this trigger? If it doesn't trigger he will know there is a ward in the brush.

I'd imagine so, because I don't think Riot would implement such a passive as a way to 'unknowingly check' whether the enemy has warded any specific area

But then again, they made it so you can 'unknowingly check' if an enemy is in a brush when an icon that requires enemy champs to be nearby is available (i.e. Katarina R, Kai'sa Q)
