Who truly likes this game?

Upgrades·8/2/2019, 8:13:02 AM·14 votes·6,129 views

Judging from all of these posts here, I see nothing but negativity. I feel like i'm one of the very few who just accept that the game is what it is honestly. All the toxicity, balancing, and ect, I have just came to accept that its just part of the game that I gotta deal with and if I dont like it, I always have the option to quit. Call me weird, but I still find league very fun and exciting to play, and I'm not trolling, I legit mean that (just look at my lvl if you dont believe me lol). Is there anyone else here who actually does not mind the bullshit and just looks past it and takes it for what it is?

People complain because they care. It hurts seeing something you love straying increasingly further away from the form it had when you fell for it.

Personally, I care about League, but I don't know if I can say I love it in it's current state. For sure though, I don't like Riot.

You have to remember that as much as this place wants to think and act like it makes of the majority of the playerbase, it doesn't even make a fraction of a fraction of it. Also, people who are happy don't complain, you don't see post about people saying "Man, I sure do love this game." that doesn't normally happen and that is all video games.

It's clearly not the same game I used to play 3-4 years ago.

Modern champs are utterly overpowered and given with such lame kits.

Reworks are nightmarish to balance except few. Either they gut them to unplayable or overbuffing to monstrosity.

Towers getting 2 tapped, too much cc in the game (I wish they introduced diminishing return) because I am tired getting perma cc'd to death.

When I first started playing League of Legends, I couldn't put it down. You know how people talk about their grades slipping because of that new thing they found that they love? This was that. I was sleeping in class in high school because I was staying up all night to play League with friends who had just gotten into it like me.

I would rage, and I would laugh, and I would complain, and I would praise. I was passionate about the game. I was in love with it.

But like most things, time dulled my love for it. Compounded by many changes to the game that felt really bad, I fell out of love with it hard. Keep in mind that I still hardcore smashed League of Legends like fucking liquor for 5 years before I finally started to slow down. And even when I slowed down, I was still playing at least a few hours each day. But then my friends started to stop playing entirely. Each time a friend would stop, the game became that much more lackluster for me.

It took me 6 years of League to realize that League was never the treasure. It was (and I'm saying this 100% not ironically) the friends I made along the way, and the memories we created.

I love the game.

Hate the company that "supports" the game.

I do honestly like this game. I'm not happy with Riot's management and business decisions recently, but I sincerely think the gameplay/meta/balance is the best it has ever been this season. (And I'm convinced all the negativity comes from nostalgia.)

Yo. I love mobas. At the current time League does it best. I still dabble into others but just not as much good as they are not as enjoyable for me as League is.

We all love it it just hurts to see the direction the game has gone in for a very long time now

The game? Love it.

Community? Client? Awful...

FURRY V28/2/2019, 11:15:52 AM2 votes

Yeah, actually the game is great. Even if it is unbalanced, mostly not this is the problem...

But the community. Fact.

They cry when they die, search for a guilty to point at. Like it would do anything. It won't help them to be better.

And there are situations where a player really ruins a game for playing bad. This is still the community part. Cuz they can't play. Matchmaking could find players like you, but it can't do that since release day. And toxic people "can't lose". Those ruin the overall image of the game.

I do not care when I lose or when I win. I try to win with my teammates. I have no influence how they play on their own lanes. How they will behave after they die. It is all about them.

If everyone would be chill and relaxed, they would have more chance to win, also, they wouldn't be mad for a lose and they would give honors after a lose.

Shaaaame...

Meh is literally the only word that I can describe this game with in 2019 lol and I've been playing since Season 2.

Nobody. Gaming isn't fun anymore. I think the whole industry is a form of torture.

I am Bardo Bard8/3/2019, 1:08:11 PM1 votes

I love the art style. I am a massive Ashe (and Bard Bard) fan. I have the Ashe statue and even the Warmother comic (framed!) on my wall. I am also here since 2010, so I still have the aftertaste of a good game in my mouth while I keep eating the junk we get fed now.

I am sure the overall games are not going down too much, as I myself ridiculuse this over-rated company but (try to) play almost every day... I just like Ashe too much..

If you aren't playing ranked there is a chance that it can still be fun, if you are playing ranked the game is garbage, matchmaking is trash, the people can neither listen or shut up, and they don't have a way to perma dissable chat built in even though it is clearly a must have when you want to no be told to kill yourself and get cancer.

TakaDama8/3/2019, 2:22:05 PM1 votes

Yes: I like the game, and while I do complain about mechanics a good deal, that's because I've been playing on and off since prior to Xin Zhao's release and can still see potential here. I also like the part of the community that supports the game through artistic endeavors.

What I dont like is the part of the community that focuses entirely on gameplay to the point of being overly competitive and toxic af, as well as executive decisions that cater to the professional players, their viewers, and the aforementioned portion of the player base, at least with the current driection they are headed in.

WatchDogs Legion8/2/2019, 10:56:09 AM1 votes

Yeah you see the trash logic about that.

It's like saying you gotta pay 20 dollar a gallon for Gas and you just gotta deal with it

If the World was that easy where no one complain and just accept everything as it is, god why don't we just live under a DICTATOR LIFE

Welcome to the snowflake boards. Here you will find BabyRage in first top 10 posts. Please don't mind them and enjoy your game.

i love this game, it could be even better. these other posers here who don't wanna buff hp are infestation tier.

Kovorix8/2/2019, 5:08:34 PM1 votes

The only reason I'm playing it right now is because there is no other competitive game I enjoy. So why start a new game I don't enjoy when I can stick with the one I'm currently playing.

all the upvoted posts itt are saying the game is bad. yolo community.

i hate this game. I HATE IT!!! but i like Akali :3

Makarakarn8/2/2019, 9:50:54 PM1 votes

Me. I like it, "Judging from all of these posts here, I see nothing but negativity." You only see negativity to the boards because what do negative people do? They become the vocal minority and yell wherever they can. And what are the boards? A platform to talk about league.

Edge of Daybreak8/2/2019, 10:00:42 PM1 votes

I like the game in its current state. I find a lot of the post that get upvoted are having a completely different experience than me.

Stray Kat8/2/2019, 11:35:14 PM1 votes

I very much still enjoy League. Yes, there's been changes I don't agree with(The mage item rework a couple seasons ago being the biggest one), but the game as a whole is still the same game I've always loved.

The problem is that the players who dislike the game are an EXTREMELY vocal minority. The majority of us who are enjoying the game are out there actually enjoying it - They have no reason to seek out the boards or Reddit like those who are complaining do. Queue times are the same(Or close enough) now(For me, at least.) as they have been for the last 5 years, yet the boards would have you thinking the game has fallen off a cliff. Clearly there's still plenty of us enjoying it if queues aren't increasing across the board.
