why is the whole team punished for an afk

why is it that one kind of person ruins the game by afking and forces his team to lose LP and force them farther into bronze. because of this, people in bronze will never get out of it because of the IMEANSE amount of this problem. im currently 5 losses in a row from an afk(almost carried through one) and just hit b5. I'm trying to get it out that this is how trolls are born. ranked isnt about skill, its luck at this point!!! this bs makes me feel like my main.

A solution i propose would be to make the afk lose all the LP the team would have to prevent a afk player from showing a good player's false representation of skill
