Banning champs feels like a waste of time now, with so many being overpowered

You get 6 bans a game which hardly makes a dent in the 140+ characters that are in the game. Trying to ban your counter is one thing, however so many champs have the ability to just spiral so far out of control if your team makes a few wrong moves that banning them seems so necessary.

Champs I am referring too are basically any champ that can benefit from sated devourer or rage blade.

  • Yi, Jax, Shyvana, Kayle, Udyr and Warwick.

Next you have Assassins that can easily 1 shot any champ when they roam, so you feel the need to ban some of these.

Zed, LeBlanc, Ahri, Ekko and in some cases Annie.

Now you have the disgusting tanks that never seem to die, yet have high damaging ults that completely change games.

Darius, Malphite, Ammumu, Nasus, Fiora, Gragas, Poppy

Now you have you're ridiculous ADC's....which are not a huge problem, but some just need to be banned due to Riot overcompensating them (looking at you Kog)

  • Kogmaw, Lucian, Corki ( mid and ADC viable is a pain in the ass) (maybe Vayne).

And finally some supports that people feel are just all around too good

Tahm, Soraka, Blitz (1 lame pull can decide a game in the late stages),

So those are champs just off the top of my head; 25 of them, without even factoring in you might want to ban any of your counters, ie Malz, Katarina, Viktor, Talon, Lux, Quinn, Yasuo......and so on.

When it comes to banning now, it seems pointless. The few champs you can pick don't seem to be able to make a huge outcome in the game since so may other champs exist that completely make the game imbalanced. The only hope you have is the players you are against just don't have a wide champ pool to play / choose from.

For me, banning is there to ban those certain champs that will hinter your team, as a whole. Or a champion that can alter the game to their favor (Godyr). but it's all about how the player uses them. Although, because you ban them based on those that affect your team as a whole, you need to communicate with your team to see what comp you will play. This is where the problem lies (for me). There is so little time, from banning, to the last pick, that there really is no room for the team to decide, unless ur lucky. If you got a player that wants to pick what they want, or one who is going to troll, or maybe even a player that is in one lane but will go another, your pretty much done on the comp section. so now you are just picking your own champion and hope for the best lol.

This is why teambuilder was so much better. when the lobby was filled, you all had to ready up for the game to start. So you could see if there was a comp, or even communicate with the players, strategize and make plans. However (what tthey could have done) was when u were in the lobby, you could switch your champion (not the role), to better fit the comp you and your teammates could better form. Teambuilder wasn't perfect, but it was far beyond what dynamic que can do.

But of course. Riot doesn't want dynamic que to die off. So they wont bring back Teambuilder v.v

tactical banning is gone, too many "must ban" champs.

the most of the champs you mentioned are not ban-worthy. Not because there are so many "must-ban" champs, but the most of them have efficient counterpicks and counter-mechanics. It is mostly the mindset you have. If you think all those champions are so broken, you have already lost. Better think about what to do against them.
