Color me unimpressed, but it's rather underwhelming. I've played against several today who rushed Shiv and I'm super confused. I know it synergies with her passive, but as first item? Really?
Is there a reason for this? Is there some powerspike or something I'm missing? As far as I'm aware the only ADCs who can get away with rushing attack speed are Vayne and Kog'maw, and even then it's not optimal (excluding Tri/Botrk).
I've never seen Vayne or Kog rush Shiv. As Kog I rush Tri or Botrk, Vayne rushes Botrk usually. As Kalista, there is a powerspike with Shiv as it gives waveclear, atk speed which increases her mobility, damage, and E damage, as well as crit chance. It's also cheap and in her recommended items.
Kalista would also get a powerspike from rushing Botrk or Phantom Dancer, maybe Triforce haven't tested it enough though. The main thing is that it's cheap and really good for her though.
i think its a bad thing unless your in a farming lane, how am i gonna roam bot(from mid/jg) and gank if u dont have enough damage to get them low... then again i perfer to win short bursty trades... which should be good for kallista since shes the kiting queen? i might be wrong here since i dont play adc but it seems kinda foolish to rush shiv imo
