To: Riot - The Tribunal, Accountability, Better community, Video Review -
Alright, i'll be honest with you. Since the Tribunal has been removed from the game, your game has gone to shit. Without the Tribunal, the game has just gotten chaotic, it is completely out of control. Blatant honesty. This is how I suggest you fix it.
The Tribunal needs to be re-instated. I would rather be suspended for misconduct that I am guilty of, than reprimanded to communicate with players for conduct I am not guilty of. When I logged on to find that I had a 42 game chat restriction, I was utterly appalled. That isn't fair to me.
What I suggest, is re-instate the Tribunal, and if you have any issues with the amount of time it takes to review matches (even though you shouldn't, because it was initially a community-based volunteer based judgement anyway), I would suggest that you reward community members who take the time to judge reports with RP. Hey, you can't afford to pay volunteers, I understand, they understand, we all understand. But let's reward them with something? And RP to buy skins, or gift to other players (if you're a really nice guy, and enjoy doing double time for others).
Here's a ballpark number. 5 RP per judgement found correct. Ballpark. So out of 100 successful judgments, you receive 500 RP. We can all declare what should be a respectable number, if i'm off my rocker.
Accountability.
Players need to be held accountable for their decisions to write a report. In your Summoner's Code of Conduct, as we have all read, you designed, but I bet you rarely look at it, it says under Section 4. Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense
Every minuscule decision you make, should leave you accountable for this Code. Though, rarely, they do.
Positively, you should be rewarded with making solid judgments on reports who have defied how the game was intended to be played. For example: I have 95-100% credibility on the judgments I have prosecuted, over 100 judgments. I no longer need the approval of Riot, or other community members to judge my reports. My credibility is written in stone. Now, with that being said. There also needs to be an implementation of 'appealing to judgments'. So one cannot use their power out of control. Appealing to judgments, is the player who is punished for the offense, may appeal to try and have the punishment removed, upon it being a wrongful punishment. Although if their appeal is declined, they are held accountable by having their credibility reduced. Held on a different level than judging accountability though. Different 'stat' altogether.
Negatively, your credibility becomes next to worthless, and you will need to build up your % of game judged successfully against your % of game judged unsuccessfully. Therefore if you 'troll' your judgments, it will take you quite some time to rebuild your credibility.
Better Community.
I would like to be an ambassador for removing toxicity in the game. Here are a list of suggestions, rule changes, whatever you may call it, I would like to implement.
1: Intentional Game Throwing / Assisting Enemy Team - Generic Griefing 1A: Intentional Feeding 1B: Revealing Position of Allied Players (Or Objectives) 1C: Refusing to participate (Intentionally AFK in base, intentional adamant refusal to participate in team fights, refusing to communicate.)
First Offense; severe and strict warning. Second Offense; Suspended for 1 month. Third Offense; Suspended for remainder of the season. (I know it does seem extremely strict, as it should be. Once the community realizes that they cannot perform these types of actions without consequence, they will stop doing it. Believe me, the problem existing with these offenses, will be over before you can imagine.)
2: False Reports Players who falsely report other players, should have their credibility reduced tremendously. On an 'outstanding' amount of false reports, should be punished, and prevented from playing the game for a period of time.
First Offense; warned that their reports are found inaccurate, and to review a list of general offenses found improper, and conduct that is accepted. Second Offense; Suspended for 3 days. Third Offensed; Suspended for 1 month.
Video Reviews!
New implementation altogether.
Verbal Toxicity is easily recognized and judged by review of the chat during matches. To a point, intentional feeding can be 'judged' by viewing the scoreboard.
But physical toxicity cannot be judged by a chat box. If a player is intentionally throwing, trolling, without providing verbal evidence that they are doing so, there is no way to prove that they are doing so. Implement the ability to review the game via video footage, and this problem no longer exists.
Note: Before I forget, it would be highly preferable to implement a time stamp feature in the game, that you can use to stamp certain times during the game, where you can send the stamps to the 'Judge' to make their judgement on the report much more easier, instead of scrolling through the entire game to find the evidence required.
Note2: Sending a Tribunal Judge to to review a game through video footage, should reward higher amounts of RP, especially if time stamps are not provided, and they still indeed, decided to judge the report.
Note3: If a player does not accept judging reports via video footage, for whatever reason. It should be an option that they are able to decline, as it were.
Numerous times people will 'physically troll', since they feel as though they are able to dodge 'verbal toxicity' by not saying anything. If it's blatantly obvious that a player is doing this to dodge reports from 'verbal toxicity' then this is where they would be found guilty.
We can finally move forward, and achieve some progress together. You just have to take the sage advice, and adhere to it.
On another note, when you feel as though it's acceptable to reward me for my hard thinking, i'll take a few skins. :)
