I'm level 27, and constantly playing against Golds, Platinums, and Diamonds (Riot - Match Review)

With that not being the primary concern.

The primary concern is; they are toxic as hell. Now i've just had my first pop-up notifying me that I have been reported, for - you guessed it, negative attitude.

And was I being negative? Certainly not as much as she was being, that's for sure. What all did I say to her? After her monotonous verbal harassment, I said "muted and reported". You know what, I have that right to mute you and report you. You don't have the right to report me, because I haven't done anything to validate a report. I attempted to farm experience of slain minions between T1 and T2 towers, and a Zed flash ulted me - ok? She says "Why are you feeding?"

I mean, I did not say this to her but. "Dude, it's Zed. He flash ulted me at the Tier 2 tower. Get over yourself." That's exactly what i'm thinking, and someone who's in Platinum should know better. It happens, No I don't have a QSS yet, it's 6 minutes into the game.

I just want Riot, and the community, to understand that you are going to be punished for reports against you, whether or not they are legitimate. Any given time a player is having a bad time, is on tilt, or feels the need to report you or anyone else, for any reason - you can and will be punished for it.

What concerns me is, as Riot points out in their automated support responses.

"We investigated and determined that your account was in clear violation of the Summoner’s Code. We determined that your consistent behavior warrants this punishment, and will not be removing or adjusting it."

Serious? I get punished because I was reported by someone who was toxic, and you 'investigated' the matter, and determined I was in violation of the offense? Either the Tribunal is in absolute havoc right now, and there is absolutely no judgement, to investigate or determine anything, or you need a new set of staff members with solid judgement working or volunteering for your company.

I apologize that I cannot stream, or record videos to give the valid evidence that you shouldn't require to rectify your flaws, as I don't have a computer powerful enough to run that, much less the game itself. I fluctuate between 10-60 frames per second, depending on my external programs running or not. Now I could probably stream or record video at about 10-15 frames per second, and that would suffice, because you would be provided with the evidence required to see a legitimate point of view, outside of your chaotic flawed system.

"Higher than normal levels of toxicity." - Are you kidding me? Informing an individual that I'm not going to put up with their toxicity by muting them, is grounds for a report?

Not swearing, not being snide, not being disrespectful, not refusing to participate even though anybody would have done the same.

Riot, address the issue instead of protecting the community that is giving you a bad name.

Reading through this thread, you do seem to have a rather aggressive, non-cooperative nature. As such, I wouldn't be surprised if you've made questionable comments in a number of games. It doesn't help your case that you apparently made a thread blaming your numerous reports over multiple games on one player in one specific game that by your telling seems innocuous.

I also believe that's not an automatic response, though it may very well be a standard copy-paste response.

I kinda hope they'd give examples of the committed bad behaviour in a support message like that, since not everyone realise what they have done wrong. Perhaps you could ask (politely)?

/mute everyone at the start of the game. Trust me. It's the magic solution to making this game fun again.

6minutes into the game and he's already level 6 with one-combo capabilities? Hard to believe.

She has the right to report you because the report button is there and she can click it.

Since the system is automated, you got punished. Working as designed.

So just to be clear, is your problem with you getting reported or with something coming out of their presumably false report? Because in my eyes no one cares if someone reports a player and that report gets ignored as false. Once reports start triggering punishments like chat restrictions and bans, then of course you have a right to be pissed.

From your post it seems like you got punished by the system, but it wasn't clear what that punishment was. Also, I think there is an option where you can publicly appeal to Lyte to have your punishment reviewed. Not sure whether that is appropriate here, but worth a shot if you want a Rioter to give you a straighforward answer.

I mean I just got reported again, for getting my butt kicked by Rumble top - when the early game fights were extremely close to going either way. Then it got to the point where he was able to 100-20 me while my damage did 100-80 on him. So I just abandoned lane.

1: I can't defeat him, even with a gank, he will most likely get a double kill. (The jungler wasn't ganking anyway, but by the time he knew Rumble was out of control, it was too late) 2: The guy can tower dive me, and apparently cast his ultimate even though his back is facing towards me. I have to say that caught me off-guard. 3: I went and ganked other lanes, I tried to farm river minions, and unchallenged jungle farm, while coming back every now and then to push the lane back, and then retreat when I saw him. 4: We took Dragon, I tanked it. They pinged that he was at the T2 tower, and pushing it. I said let him, because none of us have the ability to challenge him anyway. I mean, we really don't. I can logically understand when something is not worthwhile, and that was one of them.

What for? Unskilled? Nope. Negative attitude.

If 'negative attitude' was actually a much broader clarification other than just generic, I think that would solve some infamous issues. Yet, according to the current Tribunal system, ANYTHING can be declared as negative attitude.

"Hey, you're WILLING to participate and lay your life down for the carries." - > Negative attitude.

Dude, you're reporting people for getting their ass handed to them, and peeling for you. That's what I call a negative attitude.

Doesn't matter how many times u remake the thread, most of us are the same.

ofart1/15/2015, 7:08:21 AM1 votes

Yeah, it's amazing how many false reports people make. It's rather pathetic and it shows the system needs an overhaul to punish these abusers more.

First problem is that muting should be a last resort. Because if you mute a player and they say anything constructive, like warning about an enemy movement, asking for help at dragon/baron, calling out a tower to push, etc., and you don't see that and don't react? "Report: Failure to Communicate With Team". Ridiculous, but inevitable.

Second problem is the Tribunal being automated STILL. Human judges could easily have determined that report for "Negative Attitude" to be BS. But for whatever reason after God knows how long, Riot still hasn't reinstated the old Tribunal. And the automated system with precious little human oversight is not sufficient. Not even close.

Maybe this will help to understand which of us has any morality in our judgement.

The logic of punishing an individual who is a victim of harassment in League of Legends, uses the same logic that a woman who is raped by Muslims, is responsible because she is wearing 'too revealing' outfits.

Is that justified? Should the woman who is a victim of rape, be held accountable because she isn't wearing a blanket over her body? Even if she is White, Non-Muslim, in a Non-Muslim Country - just because Muslims believe that Shariah Law should be abided for, globally?

Use your God-given judgement to declare what is right, and what is wrong. That's what your brain was designed for, to think.

You have to be constantly reported to be punished, so just one report here and there from angry players really shouldn't harm you.

Bronze Prophet1/15/2015, 6:29:37 AM1 votes

I feel like you just re-posted this because your last post didn't get much attention.

ofart1/15/2015, 4:52:23 PM1 votes

Yeah, of course, it's just automated based on whether people report you or not. The game's too huge for a real person from Riot to check if the reports are valid. They do say that permanent bans are manual though.

There are horrible, toxic people everywhere, just never forget that retribution, be it verbal or otherwise, is never a good thing. If you come across someone who is toxic it is best to mute them, or at the very least do not type in chat while they are around.

FROM: RIOT GAMES We have removed your content due to a violation of the following board rule: Reporting Other Players

Please do not report players here. Random public accusations often lead to witch-hunts and rarely result in anything constructive.

You can use the Report feature at the end of the game to report such behavior. Even if you were unable to use the report feature at the time of the incident, please continue to use our in-game reporting system whenever you can. Reports you make provide us with valuable tracking information and help to escalate players to our attention for investigation. Each report brings violators of the Summoner's Code one step closer to restricted chat or suspension by our investigative audits.

You can report this incident to Player Support so it can be properly investigated. The boards are not the right place for this, as our board moderators cannot follow up on such reports effectively.

Don't worry; you're not in trouble! This is just a heads up, and a reminder to become more familiar with the Guidelines for each board so you can ensure your content is appropriate. If we don't keep things organized, the boards will become less useful and a lot more cluttered.

I'm beginning to think Riot is the one who is toxic. They seem to be enabling toxicity, which makes them just as toxic. Did I report any player in the boards? No I did not. Yes, I may have alluded to a certain individual, but I neither gave their name, nor their champion. I alluded to the fact that it would take some subtle intelligence to determine who it was, but I never actually reported the person. Now, it would take you some subtle intelligence to actually rectify the problem instead of defending it.

Your community is reaching out because they're dealing with the most frustrating, toxic, absent-minded individuals that have ever entered the online world, and you're defending the antagonists, instead of the victims. Riot, you the definition of toxicity. Anybody who enables toxicity in any way, shape, or form, is guilty of being toxic. You enable toxicity, Riot YOU are the problem.

While it may be okay to tell someone they are muted(for the sake of calling objectives and such so they know you cant hear them), saying reported sadly gives them the right to report you, and 9 times out of 10 will. Imagine if someone said reported to you. It is highly unlikely you will not report them. Ive had games where we came back simply because everyone muted the toxic guy. Trust me just mute, report and move on.
