Fixing Fiora
Currently played as a top lane or occasional jungler, Fiora hasn't really had any time in the limelight even though she has the potential to annihilate matches.
Currently, there are 3 good reasons NOT to pick her in games.
- No CC at all.
- No escapes.
- Not tanky/sustain-y enough to compensate for no CC or escapes.
She's considered a very risky pick as a melee hypercarry for these reasons. If she gets into trouble, she's pretty much screwed. Let's have a look at another melee hypercarry; Master Yi.
- No CC at all.
- No solid escapes.
- DOES have a damage mitigator/sustain ability.
While they play somewhat similarly, and with the above mentioned points in mind, let's have a look at their pick rates.
Master Yi: 23.51% pick rate (11/18/2014) Fiora: 9.71% pick rate (11/18/2014)
Master Yi is picked more than double the amount of times Fiora is. Why? Because his W helps to make up for his lack of CC and escapes. Fiora has none of that.
So, in order to bring her back into favor and in competition with the One-Button-Wonder ( 
), I'd like to propose ONE small change to Fiora's abilities.
Fiora's Lunge ability allows her to dash to a target in range and deal mild damage to them and can be reactivated again within 4 seconds to dash to her target at no additional mana cost. Some say that this ability may be considered an escape, however, it really isn't. Fiora's Lunge requires a target. Unless you happen to have enemy minions behind you and HAVEN'T used Lunge as an initiator, you have no escape tool.
What I'm proposing is to make Lunge a skillshot dash to your cursor location that damages the first enemy unit it hits for moderate damage. This would allow Fiora to use the 2nd activation of Lunge as either a gap closer or an escape as it was intended. Lunge would NOT be able to be used to dash through walls.
