There is people who are trololol get rekt ima smurf and you should be able to report for a ban

No...I'm sorry but I disagree with you...to some degree.

I have a smurf and that is why i disagree with you, HOWEVER, depending on the type of smurf you're talking about, I somewhat agree at the same time. here's why:

My main account was banned for 2 weeks due to a verbal harassment ban (i technically deserved it BUT I'm not a toxic flamer, i was the victim of a toxic flamer and flamed back, and that was why I was banned)

SO, i made a new account with the idea that I would be as positive as I can in games. I made my smurf so that I could continue to play the game while my REAL account is banned. THAT SHOULD BE OKAY. Especially under the circumstance that I'm going to be a better player with this new account.

Im guessing that you want a report button for them because you recently played a game where you were REKT by an obviously experienced player using a noob account.

and that is where i kind of agree with you...

Its a bad idea to report smurfs because then we couldn't have multiple account for multiple reasons. (one account for ranked, one for teaching newbie players, one for just goofing off, one for practice when you're not doing your best on your main account etc.)

BUT...the smurfs that take advantage of low elo/new players are horrible....

I have done BAD on my smurf account to noobs. I'm in silver 5 and I have gone 1/13 on my smurf account. JUST because someone is a smurf doesn't mean they're stronger then you! (THEY HAVE THE SAME RUNES AND MASTERIES AS YOU...NO DMG ADVANTAGE AT ALL!)...you have to remember, they're playing on a new account too.

So if they're reking you, its only because they have excellent calculation skills and probably ONLY play that one champ...watch out for accounts like

Fizzywaters (just an example) but hes playing fizz...MOST LIKELY...He only plays fizz on that account and is VERRY good at him.....you just have to watch for accounts like that... those are the real smurf accounts...

But I'm a smurf and I dont play just to 'rek the noobs' per se.

I use the account just to play so....if would be unfait to do this but I understand where you're coming from....I was smurfed (WHILE PLAYING ON MY SMURF ACCOUNT) by a blitz midd...i went lissandra mid...the blitz won lane...he was raping me...like...there is NO WAY he wasn't a smurf...LOL. but yeah.

Playing at low levels is really funny. There are no new players, just old players making new accounts. It's exceedingly obvious too -- makes leveling a joke.

Too expensive and time-consuming for Riot to do. There's millions of smurfs

SHORT VERSION: CANNOT BE DONE

Long version;

  1. How would you be able to prove someone is smurfing? IP Tracking doesn't work, because multiple people can use the same internet connection--even the same computer--to play games; on the other hand, a smurf can easily use a proxy service to spoof their IP, making IP tracking worthless. You couldn't even really take personal testimony into account, because a player could call another player's account their smurf account to try getting them banned. About the best you can do is ban a smurf account, and they'll just make another if they really want it.

  2. What about high-level players trying to play with low-level friends? Suddenly, it's against the rules to make a low-level account so you don't kill your own MMR--and pit your friends against unfair opponents--just so you can play with friends. It's a massive "fuck you" to the people who aren't actually doing anything wrong.

Would I be the only one that would miss the losing "smurf" line?

I can't tell you how many times someones preformed mediocre in my games but insisted it was because of their scrub teammates. Then they go on to tell us all about how they are a plat 4 smurf while wiping the tears from their eyes. item 3070

No. People would find another way anyways. The people who are jerks are going to be jerks on their main anyways. They should be contained and forced onto their main. If they are a plat+ smurf you should only be seeing them very rarely because they stomp Silver extremely hard, unless they are testing something that they are bad at that they don't want to do in their ELO because they'd feed against people of their skill level.

Smurfing is always going to be a thing, Get over it and beat them.

Dominick Destine11/9/2015, 8:21:59 PM1 votes

Your (suggested) response to people caught smurfing is to ban them... Do you not understand that by doing this, you would be forcing these people to smurf even more ?

There is nothing wrong with smurfing, as long as the smurf is not doing the "TROLOLOL EZ GAME" thing.

I personally think smurfing should be reportable in many ways.... Well like today in my silver 5 day i get a 27/5 zed on the enemy team who said hes a plat 2 smurf at the end of the game. That gets me so ticked bc with all the good pple smurfing i cant get to the good area.
