How to bring Diana to other mid-laner standards

Changing her ratios, cds, base stats, etc won't hold much momentum. Editing those things will simply over or under compensate her true problems. I believe the answer is simple:

Make it so that using Lunar Rush (r) doesn't remove all of her Moonlight stacks on other targets, only on the target that was dashed to.

This will give her more mechanical gameplay and make clear the skill difference between the better Diana players. She's often played mid, so she'll need to build a lot of damage to be effective. She's also melee, so we'll need some survivability which takes away from her damage. She has a dash, but it's a 1-way trip. If she doesn't land her mark and 100-0 the target, she will have effectively done nothing. But if i land a multi-target Crescent strike, then i can make some plays. I've still got the 100 mana cost to worry about, combined with my low mana pool, but i'll make due. If i could dash through a few enemies, then make it to my target, dish out some damage, maybe not killing them, and then leave the fray in a similar manner than i entered, we'd be around the same level as some other mid-laners.

This would be crazy OP unless the significantly reduced the damage output. It would make her a ton of fun to watch and I would love it, but they would nerf her into the ground after a week of the boards exploding.

I think the real problem is that she doesn't have a real designation for what she is best at. She seems to be an AP Jungle assassin to me. That's where she shines since the monsters don't move allowing AA procs. The rest of her kit makes ganks epic. I don't like her mid as much because it makes her passive less effective and she gets destroyed by a lot of mid picks.

However, the problem is that her kit allows her to go AP nuker, jungler, assassin, off tank, or bruiser. That is pretty much the definition of a "jack-of-all-trades master of none" situation if I've ever seen one.

It's not that Diana doesn't need some attention, but this change is counterintuitive, since she also needs to stick close to proc her passive and land damage.

IMHO it's not the right way.

With the recent buff she got and the Akali nerfs on PBE she will soon br in a much better spot. Let's wait until they're live before rushing things.

Considering the hate of Akali's multiple dashes/resetting dashes. I'd imagine the "cry OP" machine would be vehemently against this. Even with the prerequisite of needing to land one of the harder skill shots in the game.

Personally, I would love this change. Diana is probably among my favorite champions in the game (she was the first one I ever bought a skin for) and was even my main pick for jungle in S3-most of S4. I would definitely love to see her get some nice changes.

As soon as Akali is nerfed, people will realize Diana is basically the exact same thing and you will regret the day you asked for buffs. People forgot what it was like to play against this champion when she was super strong. It was worse than Akali has ever been.

Shes fine just reduce cooldown on her E by 5 secs and Q by 1 sec.

I think this change would be a little broken. What I think would be a good change is letting her dash to moonlite minions without taking moonlight off of champions. This would allow her to do some cool plays without adding any damage, since she already has pretty good damage.
