End Autofill

League is game. Games should be fun. I pick the roles I want to play, and I don't want to play other roles. I'm not a pro player, so I don't care if others think "I should learn to be good at all roles." Its not about that. I am fine at sup. I just DON'T LIKE PLAYING SUP.

How about rewarding players for playing less popular roles, instead of punishing players for not wanting to? Give 20% extra IP to Sup players, or whatever role is currently in demand on queue. Show the role that currently has an IP boost where it currently says "Autofill enabled" PROBLEM SOLVED.

Autofill invariably ends with either a) a dodge b) a troll or c) an unfair match because someone is playing the role they aren't good at.

If you want to lower queue times in this way, just get rid of draft altogether. (Personally I'd rather see blind pick disappear)

GAMES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN.

I would rather have a 20 minute queue for the role I want to play than get stuck with the autofill. Which is what you get nowadays anyway if you just dodge.

I play Support, so I always swap whenever someone's autofilled, but...

Really, Autofill is a terrible mechanic. One LoL youtuber, I don't remember who, compared it to WoW's dungeon queue: You queue up as DPS, but nobody wants to be a healer. So, the game gives you a generic Priest and forces you to heal, a role that you probably never played before and have no experience with, in addition to not knowing what the fuck to use on a priest!

Autofill is making players lose LP faster, not gain it faster by reducing queue times.

when a role in your game is so unfun unrewarding and unpopular that you LITERALLY have to force your players into playing it, you are just punishing your players for your bad game design.

there are certainly people who find supp fun and rewarding, but this is not the case for the majority of the player base which is proven by the fact that autofill exists. either completely redesign the supp role or stop punishing players for it
