Uncooperative Teams

We've all had this problem... Two (or more players) just HAVE to be top, and insist on putting Annie or some other horribly out of meta champ up there.... then once the game starts...3 players start running towards top, and the support refuses to go down and help the ADC... or the support ends up solo top with 3 on mid and no jungle or something equally nonsensical.

Then, you end up stuck with a horrible team comp, 2 trolls, a mute, and a fool that's "just trying out" a new champ (and will go on to blame his execution by turret as "OMG LAAAAG")

You knew it was going to be like this from the moment the argument started in selection, but were powerless to stop it.

Currently, the only recourse for a player hoping for a decent game is to ABSTAIN FROM PICKING. There should be an option on the selection screen to disband the game due to uncooperative teammates. Let the trolls play amongst themselves, and let the rest of us live in a troll free world.

Potential solutions: Remove the penalty for refusing to pick a champion

Once all characters are locked in, a final confirmation to proceed with the game is required.

The unranked solo queue can have some degree of forced meta to replace the de facto "call out" system, wherein picking a top lane champ bans other top lane champs for that team.

Alternatively, players could first pick a lane (by GUI) before picking a champ. All remotely reasonable champs will be allowed. Picking (rather than calling) jungle will automatically lock in Smite, for example.

Again, this would only be for unranked solo queue. Assume by level 30 people can be trusted to not fail so hard.

Add a report category for non-cooperation.

In addition to level/mmr based matchmaking, add another dimension to matchmaking which pools trolls and players reported for being uncooperative together. This tech can also be adapted to group rude, cursing players together etc

Have REAL penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct (loss of IP, loss of RP, loss of champions, permanent bans) Treat unsportsmanlike conduct as a much greater offense than the only currently enforced offence: leaving early (ie; not wasting time)

Also, often players refuse to surrender based on misguided information, believing they "get like no IP if you surrender" In other games (warcraft 3) it was considered unsportsmanlike to drag a game out that is clearly lost.

Players should be allowed to leave games. There should be an option to join a game in progress to take the place of "leavers." That was the noobs can keep at their 48 minute doomed start, those trying to rank up can get on with it, and the winning team can continue their snowballing nerd-fest circle jerk.

Just had a game, 4 players called top and argued about it. Finally, one player decides to go Sup, and another calls Bot (sivir). I ask Sivir if she can ADC (with the right build its possible) and she says "no I'm bot"

they all tell me to pick, and I refuse, ending the match. If this match would have went in, we would have had:

2 on top 2 on bottom (No ADC)

and that would have left me to either go mid or jungle, leaving the other role unfilled, and the only chance of victory being if the other team goes afk.

Now I can't play for 6 minutes..because 4 other people don't know how.
