Discussing Swain. In comparison to other champions that "Transform".

Other champions that transform gain bonuses from being transformed, swain.. gains none.. except an awesome line of emotes... like every transformed champion.

Here are my suggestions:

Passive:

Increased base unit killed from (9+1/lv total 27) to (18+1/lv total 36) 9 mana difference, allows swain to wave clear late game w/o losing a TON of mana, he'll just lose a bit of mana, most mages have great waveclear abilities, swain has one AoE abilitiy with an AoE ult that drains mana like a boss. Most mages have great wave clear late game w/o major mana issues (Viktor, Ahri, Cassio, Galio, Annie just to name a few) Some even have mana issue fix's to help (Malzahar, Liss, Xereth, cho'gath, Annie could even fall under this)

Increased champion kill/assist mana regen from (9+1/lv + 9% max mana) to 15% max mana. This would help so much in team fights, it may seem op, but I've thought of scaling flat %'s, and flat 18%, buncha random shiz.. this would be easier to balance and sounds more balanced right off the bat.

Q: So this is a great damage ability with a decent slow, not great, but decent. Currently there are plenty of champions with theses kits that provide mobility.... that makes this ability pretty bad if you can only get off 1 or 2 ticks of it. So, when in demon bird brain form... why not allow the tether to start from the original position of the target? You'd be able to get full damage off w/o relying on cc like his W to get the dmg off.

W: Snare changaruni! So, my honest opinion is that the snare is great. BUT. I think it should be changed to 1.5 second snare and a 2.5 second snare when in demon bird brains form.. Its pretty self explanatory. Snare currently is really strong, I could argue keep 2 s snare increase 2.5 seconds. but I actually do feel like his snare right now is pretty damn good w/o being buffed so for the sake of balance, it makes sense.. I guess.

E: Increase % damage by 5% at all ranks. Total of 25% at rank 5. Pretty self explanatory, and sounds freaking great for the grand general swain :).

R: Keep it as is, Being in this form enhances his other abilities.

Now would this be a massive wall of text ingame? Probably. But that's riot's job.. I'm just here trying to help Riot's idea of enhancing older released champions kits to fit with the current complexity of champions in league of legends. I've played swain for a long time, I've played him since release, I've seen all these changes to his passives (yes swain's has multiple passives) and all the tweaks to his abilities, nerfs to his ult. He needs some real love to be the champion that Noxus claims he is. Riot.. remove the shackles on Swain the Grand General, let him soar!

TL;DR?

Get outa here you Demacian. Go hide in your bush.

Swain is already pretty strong. These changes would be gamebreaking. He is niche and gets destroyed by some of the meta team comps so he is underplayed, but in current assassin/squishy meta he should be right up there with the strongest champions. He doesn't just annihilate one person and die to a tank, he annihilates an entire squishy team.

Swain is already a powerhouse. There is no need to buff him. The only thing that needs changing is the speed at which his dots inflict damage. (most dots inflict damage every half second, while his ultimate procs every second. I'm not sure on his other dots, but i recall them also being kind of wonky.

It makes last hitting a nightmare (hue hue).

If you are having mana issues with swain build tear. It's not recommended for reasons I can't fathom, but maybe I'm just bad.
