If you seriously hate mordekaiser. Just rush QSS.
It gives you MR and his ult will be totally wasted. I think it is one of the key factors inflating his winrate like Malzahar. Just buy QSS. It affects Morde worse than Malz.

Yes, genius, so you can just get pummeled by his QWE and be unable to trade back because you dont have a core item for your champion. Excellent move.
You say that as if his ult was the main issue.
You say this as if being forced to rush QSS doesn't make you useless for the next 20 minutes
And this is the very definition of the term "QSS tax".
The very existence of champions like Mordekaiser forces every carry on the enemy team to rush QSS, which means that these carries are 1300g behind in offensive stats by default. He is giving his own team a 1300g lead worth in stats.
Not to mention that QSS doesn't build into anything for AP users, meaning that if they reach full build, they have to give up their protection against his ult again.
his R is the least problem of of his kit to face.
its only a problem in later stages where he start Ring adc/supports or junglers
