Statistically there is an elo hell

With a 56% win rate you can end up in one division lower than you're at. Because of how the lp system works. All the getting up to 97 lp and losing promos then getting down to 50lp evens out and in most cases has you go negative even with a 56% win rate.

That would be true, if LP mattered. But it doesn't, what matters is MMR.

MMR is pretty much what ELO is with a twist, it depending by how your MMR, and division compare to each other, you gain or lose more LP. So let's say you win every game, except for promos. Eventually it will get to the point, where one win will give you 30 lp, and one loss 5. It will take a really long time, but it will eventually happen.

MMR barely helps. The most that will happen is 22lp win 19lp loss. The little points never add up to be enough to help. Then they get flatted by the 96lp and the 75lp when demoted. The little points never add up due to this

If your MMR is high enough, the max is +30, -5. The minimum is -30, +5.

MMR barely helps? MMR is your true ranking. What you see, and everyone sees is just an icon that does not truly show who you are. Your Division is a mask that hides who you truly are, aka MMR. You can try all you want to change that mask, but all you do is lie to yourself until you embrace who you truly are, and improve on yourself rather than the mask.

If you often find yourself losing promos with 56% win-rate, it may mean you have just hit the rank you deserve to be in, with your current skill level, and it has nothing to do with the way LP works, as the way it works actually benefits you when you hit that wall, as you may go up a rank you do not deserve to be in yet, after the wall, due to high MMR.

First of all what if your mmr is messed up due to dynamic que? Mine is. Second of all I'm not losing promos all the time im just saying if....(I lost a promos due to an afk and then a troll/bad players, I went down to 49 lp) that's 51lp loss from losing 2 games. wtf? When your mmr is mostly fucked up how can I expect my mmr to help me out. Aslo, when pros go from unranked to masters you see them winning 20lp and losing 19lp or 20. Around 20 a loss and 20 a win. So explain that. Wouldn't their mmr make them win 30 and lose 5? Get exposed

You said 56% winrate. I did not look you up, I took your word for it.

The only way dynamic queue would lower your MMR, is if you are silver and queue up with Bronze 5 and loose a lot.

With bad MMR, you need to keep on winning more than you lose, and slowly it will increase. You need to forget about LP, and keep on winning more than you lose. The LP is worthless, and so is your division. Your ELO needs to go op.

I am Platinum V atm. But not too long ago, I was trying to get here and was Gold 2 80LP. I went, with a massive loosing spree down to Gold V 0 lp. I went from gaining 25 lp from games and losing 15, to losing 25 and winning 17. My winrate went from 54 to 49. And yet now i am Platinum V, from winning more than I lose, and eventually my MMR went up, once it did I could easily climb again.

When pros do unranked to masters, they gain regular amounts of LP. at the beginning. But once they have 50 wins, 10 losses, believe me, they start gaining a ton.

Want better MMR? Win more than you lose. If in champion select you ever think "Wow this team sucks, we are so going to lose?" Dodge, lp goes down compared to your MMR, and if it happens a lot, your gains go up. The more you dodge, the more your gains go up, plus you cut losses.

But howcome I've seen a guy with a 15% win rate in diamond something (he sucks dick) shit kda shit k/p and he still had over a 2k mmr. That just makes no sense to me

If mmr is based off of win rate and with a 56% winrate you lose 17-19 lp and win 20-22 lp then elo hell is a statistical fact. Even with 17 from a loss and 22 from a win elo hell is still real stat and statisticaly you get trolls enough of the time to stay even in lp and even get demoted

MMR is something you have. It goes up and down with the games you play. If you lose, if goes down. If you win, it goes up. If you are diamond and lose vs gold people, it goes down by a lot, if you win vs challenger, it goes up by a lot. Winrate has nothing to do with it. But if you consistently win more than you lose your MMR will constantly rise.

About the guy with 15% winrate. If you get boosted to masters, and then you start playing on your own account, but you have the skill of a bronze, you will lose every game from there. But the MMR to lower all the way down to bronze, it will probably take a while.

Right now I'm at a point where wins net me 32 lp gain, losses are only 7 lp.

Commbustion1 votes

That's based off of personal score right? My personal score is always great but duo que games fuck up my mmr. I usually have a 4-7kda on average and 55% or higher Kill participation. Does your mrr base off stats like that?

Dynikus2 votes

No, it's just based off of wins/losses and who you play against. I had some bad luck in my placement matches and ended up in b1, but still get matched against high gold players because I had a good win streak and have low silver/high gold mmr.
