Berserker's Greaves should get the old Furor enchantment added as baseline.

Berserker's Greaves are by far the most commonly purchased boots for ADCs, a role that is currently in a very strange position in the meta. As it currently stands, the most successful ADCs are those who rely on Lethality and a long-range caster style of gameplay (Jhin, Varus, MF) as opposed to the more traditional crit-based ADCs. While I do think that the former should be a viable option, the strength of Lethality as well as the mobility power-creep in many brusiers has all but made traditional ADCs irrelevant in comparison.

In addition to much-needed adjustments to Lethality, I think the following would be very helpful:

Add the old Furor enchantment (12% more MS when you deal damage to a target) or some variation of it as a baseline passive to Berserker's Greaves. This will help traditional ADCs by giving them some individual counterplay to champions that can simply dive and destroy them. I don't think this would be over-bearing considering the current state of ADC in general, and also most other boots have multiple passives built into them, yet cost the same price as Berserker's

I like it, buttttt.... other champs but ADCs can BUILD these boots. So while yes you can kite that Nasus, BUT that Yasuo has the same enchantments and can keep up with you and make him MORE mobile in the fights

Hmm, fair.

However, I think this could be easily solved by making that passive only work for ranged champions; there are some items already that are already melee/ranged restricted. Assuming it would be kept the same price since it would be more of bringing it up to par with other boots of a the same price, champions like Yi and Yasuo that purchase these boots often will still find just as much value in them as they do now.

does this mean that people like Kayle/Gnar/Jayce can use them as well? Or...

Lel no.

Constructive.

If the boots are already balanced, why the fuck would Riot buff them so severely?

lvl100 Shuckle1 votes

It's not really that severe. Many other boots of the same price have multiple passives. If it really bothers you that much, I don't think there would be too much harm in lowering the Attack Speed to 25% to compensate. But personally I think it would be fine.

It's hilariously severe. A 450 gold passive for free would skyrocket the gold efficiency of the bloody things.

many other boots arent as stat efficient as zerkers.

for example merc treads grant the stats of their base item (mantle) and t2 boots and cost 1100 gold. means youre playing 350 gold for that passive.

zerkers cost the same gold, and youre gaining 23% attack speed over the dagger.

this means if zerkers were to get a passive, wed have to compensate by nerfing the attack speed bonus to 12%. but then they wouldnt feel like "the attack speed boots" anymore.

Considering marksman ALREADY have the highest movement speed in the game due to itemization, they dont need MORE. If anything the MS on their itemization needs to be removed so theyre more vulnerable late-game when it actually matters.

Not sure where you got that information. The only ADC to have a base MS higher than the "middle-of-the-road" 335 (not counting Quinn during her ult or MF during her W passive) is Graves at 340, and he's a melee-range jungling ADC who is doing very well already. The only 4 other champions that you could call "Marksmen" are Sivir, Lucian, Urgot, and Quinn. Two of those aren't even really ADCs, and only two of them would really consider Berserker's over Lucidity. The other FIFTEEN Marksmen have MS lower than that. Above them are tons of bruisers and mages.

I never mentioned base movement speed. I said they have the highest due to itemization. Most marksman get two zeal items. Thats a minimum of 10% movement speed. Assuming 325, the lowest possible, thats 370x1.10 = ~407 movement speed. thats a LOT higher than whats possible with champions who dont have MS buffs of their own or dont also have MS on itemization.

Considering marksman already have the advantage of huge range, they dont need 450+ms on top of it.
