2016 Ranked!

(Please SHARE THIS THREAD so it can get more attention and hopefully get corrected, or loosened at least.)

Just a brief survey and question: Is there something considerably changed this season about ranked? The majority of my friends, who are around gold-plat ELO, are placing in BRONZE... Did they change the system so dramatically that it's destroying everyone's placements? For anyone wondering, I want to list a few reasons why this is such a large issue: -It can destroy one's love and appreciation for the game -It makes it even harder to climb out of bronze, since you are practically playing in a bronze-gold ELO by just remaining in bronze
