61 key shards (20+ keys) and no chests

Is there any other way to gain chests besides getting S- or higher on champs I have absolutely no interest in playing? I've already gained chests with 24 champs and I've already reached my pool of champs that I actually enjoy playing. I main mid, sometimes will do support and sometimes top, and have bought all the champs I enjoy playing and earned a chest with all of them. Why do I have to play champs I have no interest in playing just to get a chest? I'm thankful I get key shards constantly, currently at 20+ keys (61 key shards) but they don't do anything if I don't have chests to open.

No, there is no other way Either play new champions or continue sitting on the keys

isn't it a thing where if you're in a premade with someone their S counts as yours for gaining chests?

just premade with people who play the other champions :D

i could be wrong though. i vaguely remember reading something about that

The only other way is to outright buy the chests with RP.

ARAM can be a good way to take the edge off of playing champs you don't normally care for, since you're more likely to be able to get away with builds that are more fun (and sometimes in aram more effective) than standard SR builds, plus since opponents are random as well you don't have the issue of potentially facing someones main while on an unfamiliar champ. I've gotten every possible mastery chest possible so far, and a few dozen of those are champs I'd do horribly on in rift (and/or I thoroughly dislike playing in rift).
