In Overwatch, teamwork is literally everything. There's no snowballing. There's no long ass death timers. It doesn't take 2 minutes to go from one half the map to the other half. It's a 5 minute match of your shooty things vs their shooty things, and how you work together is the only thing that can impact the game. League isn't even close to being that way. How you perform in League is really important, and it's really not that important in Overwatch. You don't have to be good at your character if you have Reinhardt, Mercy, and Bastion taking care of you.

I don't think the problem is so much Dynamic Queue itself, just how Riot has been handling it

Like...solo players being matched with premade groups of people can get annoying after a while for example. Then Riot says solo queue, goes on to say maybe, then as people are waiting, months later they decide to say it will never happen.

And then queue times can get really long, depending on the roles picked. I'm a support main, I usually get in pretty fast, but if I feel like taking a break from supporting and going mid or adc, I usually end up waiting a lot longer to get into a lobby. And if I have support as my secondary I still always get it. They did say they are going to work on getting people their primary roles more often though.

And they keep talking about competitive play and such and it feels like they are aiming the game at teams/groups of people than solo players, which is good and bad. Some people just don't have friends to play with..I was a lucky one, I have a team of me and 4 other people from school that I all know. Not everyone has that.

Idk, I feel like right now everything is just kinda messy. If they did not intend to work on solo queue, or gave up on it, they shouldn't have waited months to come out and say "we are definitely not doing this, no more maybe, its a no now"

My biggest issue with DynQ is that it was basically a big F U to the big solo players, you know, the people who built up Riot games in the booming biz they are now. It feels like they used them almost. Riot: "Yeah, we know our game was built on the backs of solo players, so here's what were gonna do: Create a cue that caters to casuals and groups and totally fucks over solos. Sound good guys?"

I have a team of friends I play with, but that's usually only at night when we are all on, so most of my games I play solo. I don't remember if I've been matched against a team of all 5 before, but I have been put on teams of a 4 man premade and then myself. Having a premade of 2-3 on your team isn't really as uncommon as Riot thinks....and it sucks too because while there are good teams who are fun, I feel like more of them tend to be the ones who will gang up on a player and just harass them..

Also this

"We agree dynamic queue standings don’t reflect pure individual skill as well as a solo ladder"

Then why is it used for ranked? Like....if it isn't reflecting my individual skill, why are we using it to get individual ranks? I should not only be ranked on how well I work with a team, but also how well I am at my individual role and my overall skill with my chosen champs....if it isn't reflecting individual skill we should not be using it as a system of playing ranked, because then it boils down to how well you do as a team and everyone knows there are lots of toxics in ranked that you just can't do anything about.
