Tips for countering AP assassins?

I have a problem. About 9 games out of 10, the enemy team will have an AP assassin somewhere. Usually Fizz, Ekko or Akali. Besides building full MR tank, I don't know how to counter them. They're not at all tanky, granted, but they're extremely mobile and do WAY too much damage, so I either can't kill them because they get away or kite or I just die to them on the spot. Anyone got any pointers on avoiding the aneurysm that follows an enemy AP assassin? I'm specifically looking for counters to the 3 I mentioned. Any help at all is appreciated.

Easiest way is to hard CC them and other options for tanks is getting item 3083 item 3065 item 3512 item 3026 item 3102 item 3060 item 3190 item 3401 For mages there is thisitem 3001item 3157 . For AD classes there is item 3156item 3814 item 3139 item 3046 item 3053 . In General Health items and Guardian Angel are great counters to AP assassins along with any items with MR. The best way to deal with them efficiently is to have hard cc + enough burst to kill them before they can react.
