Why would i ever play Lucian...

When someone like Vayne exists.

I played a game against a vayne who managed to tank my ENTIRE CULLING burst, only to proc active and kill me. The fact that a squishy champ could do that is insane.

Now that that's out of the way...

Culling is by far one of the weakest and useless ults in the game. Unless you want to clear one minion wave and wait a ridiculously long cooldown to do it again.

As it is right now it should be 30 seconds at max rank to make it useful in the late game at all.

OR.

-Give it 15% Armour pen -Give it scaling damage with every successful hit on target.

I'm not one to say "omg gg nerf (x) champ" and actually prefer to buff weaker champs instead to create diversity. So please riot buff Lucian so he can actually compete. I love PROJECT Lucian and I would love to play him without having to risk giving away a free loss.

Vayne and Lucian have different strengths, weaknesses, and play styles. Also you could just enjoy playing Lucian more than Vayne.

Vayne and Lucian are both duellist adcs except Vayne can destroy him post lvl 6. They both move around through dashes/tumbles in order to proc their passives during fights (double shot and silver bolts), except vayne's passive allows her to carry a game. She can tumble more times than Lucian can during a fight. And yes i do enjoy Lucian more but the point is if you want to WIN in the bot lane, why play him if he's in such a bad spot.

My focus is in buffing Lucian.

Is he in a bad spot though? Just because Vayne beats him doesn't necessarily mean he is in a bad spot. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying one matchup is hardly enough evidence to support that claim.

The evidence is that she (not her support) managed to tank a full barrage of it without even caring. Its a joke on an extremely long 90+ second cd.

Vayne is not evidence. If you're trying to show that Lucian is weak you have to show that he is weak in multiple matchups that he is supposed to be strong in.

The key here is multiple. You have to turn your thread from a Vayne QQ into a thread that actually focuses on Lucian.

I see your problem. Lucian is a spell slinging AD caster, not a duelist. He's meant to weave in and weave out of fights and finish with culling, not all in like Vayne. Abuse your Q against Vayne, trade with passive, wave clear, you should be fine.

Also, if you wanna see something really funny, get ghostblade on Lucian. If you use it when you use the culling, it goes super fucking fast.

I do think Lucian could use an AD scaling on his W but he's not in too bad of a spot right now.

Riot said that his W was meant to be a utility spell so I don't think they will do that. Though it would be nice :)

They also said that his old 50 second cooldown on Culling was crazy. Different time, different meta. To be honest I hated the 4.19 nerfs, because I knew they were just dancing around the problem of his passive. Then when they nerfed his passive they never undid the nerfs he didn't need.

Well she can tank a Culling mostly because Culling is a terrible ability. His ult has pitiful damage, an absurdly long cooldown at Rank 1, and can be blocked by minions. I like playing Lucian but his ult makes him frustrating and unsatisfying to play. I typically just pick Graves instead.

I wish they would add something that either ignored minions or reduced the cooldown on Culling for each hit of it on an enemy champion (to both lower the cooldown at early Ranks, punish the enemy champs for tanking the Culling for the rest of their team, but it also doesn't lower the cooldown if you're using the Culling just to waveclear minions). Or you could throw his E's passive onto his ult as well.

Yup he should be tweaked, and I think the a simple ultimate change would suffice.

Maybe 40s-50s cd at max rank and make the passive apply to it as well. Everytime you proc passive it reduces ultimate cooldown by 2s (like it happens with his E).
