IDEA - Champ. Points as a Requirement to Play Ranked

Problem: Bronze is terrible in ranked games. People rarely know their positions/role, or how to play against many other champs. People bring in champs they've never played before into a bronze ranked game. This makes it difficult to get out of Bronze, if you are a skilled player, because the team work and communication is consistently so terrible.

Solution: Use the Mastery Point system to set a bar for people to join ranked games. We already need to own 16 champs in order to qualify for ranked play. What if we had a requirement of those 16 champs need a lvl 3 (or 4 or 5) mastery before they were allowed to play ranked.

Result: we would have better talent hitting Bronze, and playing the game would be more enjoyable for everyone at lower levels. There are some people that are going to be bronze forever, but it's hard when your personal score is A or S in games, but you still lose because people don't know the basic mechanics of the game.

You won't be able to trade and getting a minimum of 16 champs to lvl3 before even being able to queue up is a LOT.

A change like this is not necessary. When people think they can first time champs, let them, some are good with it, others fail miserably. This is everybodys own decision, it's their elo too.

This, and you can't alter your options, if the team comp would require it. "You want the Support to go Tank? Too bad I don't have mastery in Alistar, Braum, Leona, or Taric. Best I can do is go Karma, and give you a bunch of shields."

Also, if your making this complaint, due to ELO hell. Just Stop. Riot isn't going to support the Hyper Try hard attitude, that comes with ranking up. They want ranked mode to be about seeing how people matched up with each other, without necessarily pressuring aid people to clime the ranks.

And that in mind, that requirement doesn't even help, because likely hood of throwing the game due to such a play, is equal and opposite for the enemy. Chances are, you will make Bronze even harder to clime out of, as the Base level skill is increased.

Though Mastery doesn't necessarily equal skill. I have level 4 mastery with Heimerdinger and I still can't land my E most of the time.
