Did Zed get the nerf hammer?

Just got back from a really long break and started playing again, I bought Zed and played him but there's just something really awkward about him right now I mean I know I've been gone for a really long time for like 2 to 3 years cuz I quit somewhere around the end of season 4 I think, but I don't know what's wrong with Zed his damage seems the same but when I use his abilities it feels like there's a delay to them. I know I've been gone for a long time and there has been alot of changes from what I see, but I just can't figure out if I'm just rusty as hell or did Zed get nerfed hella bad?

There was the assassin rework around half a year ago, as well as a prior patch that added a delay to his ult and some of his shadow combos so that the enemy team could actually have a hope of counterplaying it (Partially because they removed QSS cleansing the ult mark. Same thing goes for all other debuffs, QSS only cleanses CC now, not debuffs in general).

Also, you are probably really rusty tbh, and if you have any latency issues it would only exuberate the issues you face. I still see Zeds drop their full combo pretty damned fast, just no longer "I dropped my entire kit before I even came out of the shadow stage of ult" fast.

yeah I realized I can't do the quick W+E quickcast combo anymore I have to do it a little slower

Yea, that specific combo was removed a LONG time ago, like 2.5 years ago, because it was so abusive and countered what was supposed to be a weakness of unreliable damage that the enemy could react to (The Q).
