In-Game CHAT is a TRAP

It is just a way for you to get banned, Please believe me don't use your chat anymore just hide it and /mute all in the game. The chat is literally not useful and it will most likely just get you banned than do any good for you in the game, so please everyone do yourselves a favor just hide your chatlist and /mute all players every match. If you're the type that can't contain yourself from dealing with bad and dumb people please do this, if you want to climb and keep your account hide your chatlist and mute everyone in game.

Please chatting with other players is not worth your account.

This feature has more chance of getting you banned than actually trolling and not saying anything in a game.

Just HIDE your In-Game CHAT it doesn't help you and the only thing it can do for you is getting your account suspended or banned.

It is quite possible to chat without acting like a jerk.

I dunno, I use chat for strategic purposes pretty frequently. Never had so much as a chat restriction.

The in-game chat is a tool used for talking strategy and some casual conversation and etc..

Just because there is a way to abuse it doesn't mean it is inherently bad. The reason people get chat restricted or bans is that their behavior breaks the Terms of Use which is agreed to before you are allowed to play the game that clearly states "5.1. Can I troll, flame, threaten or harass people while using the Riot Services? (No. If you do, you might get banned.)"

The chat isn't there as a way to punish you, it's a convenience for communication and conversation.

It is a trap if you can't stop behaving like an asshat, yeah.

I don't think I've ever gone through a whole match without using chat lol. I've avoided all the traps thus far. Are you sure you're thinking of chat, and not like... arguing? I would say arguing during a match is a trap and everyone should avoid doing it.

To be fair, if Riot didn't want you to get banned, they'd BLEEP out bannable language, no matter how "controversial" it is to do so.

Get banned, make new account, spend more money.

Edit: Peoples' feelings should matter more than racist and mean words being bleeped out. Also, any KYS variation should be bleeped out, no more excuses. They won't for bullshit reasons, meaning they actually care less about people than in game strategy.

I use the in-game chat for idle chatter with my teammates, and sometimes (albeit rarely) strategic talk. (and the ever rare jab at the enemy team.) Haven't been punished once.

Maybe those who are likely to get punished for using chat should look at what they're saying and figure out what they're doing wrong, rather than desperately try to hide everything that could ostensibly lead to their problematic behavior?

traps are gay

I didn't make this thread for "perfect players" like you, I made this for the people who have troubles containing themselves from flaming their teammates for bad and dumb plays.

unfortunately this stops you from timing summoner spells, which is by far the most important feature of chat

Timethief491/25/2018, 9:31:17 PM1 votes

Used it for many years now without a problem.

In all honesty it is good advice and I wish riot gave an option for self muting.

But.... change the title to something like in-Game CHAT is better not used
