Shut up about Dynamic Queue
Ground Rules: we are not considering high MMR players
I consider myself a pretty objective person. I have no significant preference in solo queue or dynamic queue. Why? How is this possible when the whole league board community are turning themselves upside down over it. Here's why:
I've played since season 1. I've always played ranked solo - from time to time I would play duo queue, but it's uncommon. I have yet to play ranked with more than 1 other person since dynamic queue was released. So how has my experience of the game changed with the new system? I play support less - that's it. Everything else in pretty much exactly the same.
For ranked matches -
Level of difficulty in my games: same
Level of toxicity: same, slightly better
Ratio of mismatch to even games: same* *I do feel that the game is more snowbally, which may give the illusion that teams are mismatched (this is due to the changes in dragon, vision, and baron; it used to be easier to defend on the losing team because there were less pushing power and more wards for your own jungle.)
Role preference: better
But how is this possible when so many people are encountering so much problems with this? Why is it that I haven't queued against a 5-man yet? Why is that I do not feel a hit to my personal achievements? Maybe because these problems are rare and virtually non-existent.
But do you know what is also consistently the same? the boards complaining about Riot's systems. Also, you can lolking the people who complain as well. A vast majority of complaints are coming from bronze to low silvers and diamond players (though they complain about different things like getting banned). Interesting...
Setting aside diamond players for now. Why are all the bronze to low silvers complaining? The honest and brutal answer is because they're bad at the game. So what happens when someone fails? They learn from their mistakes, improve themselves, and try harder. HA! YEAH RIGHT! No - they complain and blame someone else for screwing them over (most people). Just take a look at our society outside of league. % of successful people < % of failures. Why? Because most people, instead of acknowledging their faults, blame others instead of bettering themselves. The difference between a successful person and a failure is self-improvement.
So for all you silvers and bronzies saying you can't climb because dynamic queue is matching you against plats and 5 man premades: Why is it that other people can succeed where you fail. If it was the system, shouldn't everyone else be failing too?
Is dynamic queue ruining league? No - if anything I see slight improvements to my personal enjoyment due to better communication and role preferences. But for the most part, my experience on a game to game basis is still roughly the same as when solo queue was a thing. OR MAYBE I'M JUST A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE THAT GOT LUCKY AND NOTHING BAD EVER HAPPENS TO ME <<< if you want to believe that.
