Yeah.. Except I easily got to Gold 2 last season as a support with zyra (70% winrate) and morgana (82%). I would get higher if it wasn't for some IRL stuff. It's easy to climb as a support if you know what you're doing.

yeh i agree with you here, I'm an ADC main and when you have a good support the lane is 100x easier to snowball, now i duo and my supp is usually very good but he has his moments, as i do on ADC of course we all do.

anyway point being here Zyra, Morgana, Leona, Karma all these and a fair few mor (lulu even, under played right now, of course due to meta but i think she's still good) can all basically like you said if you know what your doing conduct a fight and put it into your favour, thus winning the game.

If you want to rank up, get good at the game. As simple as that. The best players can play every role proficiently.

Honestly, it's harder to climb as a Support but at the same time if you're confident enough, you can certainly change things around. Just by going as Alistar , I allowed my team to pick whomever they wanted because I was a tank. Not only this, I know how to play him very well so I can CC people successfully, tower dive and get out alive, and secure objectives because i'm a wall to the enemy team if I play right.

Yeah, getting bad teammates suck and if you're a Support, it sucks even more. But this applies to anyone being stuck with bad players ... you can only do so much. Just trust in your plays and climb man, trust me ... you'll climb up if you're good enough.

67% winrate playing as supp this season ( praise autofll) around 23supp games so far. your argument is invalid. supp can easily carry soloque.
