Do the people of Gameplay Boards truly know what they want?

Season 2, 3, and somewhat even 4 wasn't this levels of bad. Ever since Season 5 though people have been complaining about certain things, then complained about things to fix those things. For example people last season people complained about long que timers which used to last hours (quite literally hours if you weren't support), now people are complaining about Autofill that has actually reduced que timers, but all for the small price of enforcing people to play and learn a different role (Support) for just once every 3rd or 5th match or something. Dynamic Que was of course complained about and so Solo Que came back. Now some people complain that Solo Que isn't "Solo Que" enough, even though it is the exact same old Solo Que most of everyone loved. Really at this point you might as well call the Gameplay Boards the "Rabble Rabble! Boards!" And replace every word with "Rabble Rabble!"

No they fucking don't lmao

Why do you think contradictory statements are constantly upvoted as long as they're supporting one opinion of bashing a champion they don't like?

There are a lot of factors to this:

  1. Boards are made up of a lot of different people, with differing opinions. It's easy to lump all of Gameplay together as if it were some unified entity, particularly since it often exhibits this hive mind-like opinion "meta", but the truth is that some people want different things, and may have goals that contradict those of others.
  2. With that said, there are definitely some users whose opinion is demonstrably inconsistent, at least if you look at their posts and threads. It's possible and likely that a lot of these users simply changed their opinions over time, but another large potential factor is upvote farming: it's easier to get upvotes by stirring up outrage around whichever issue is relevant at the moment than by any other means, and I think some players really do set upvotes as their primary goal, even if it comes at a cost to the quality and authenticity of their posts. Some users also probably just like to complain (it happens), and will take any opportunity to take a contrarian stance against Riot, as you've likely seen with users taking red post quotes completely out of context, distorting them and sometimes just making them up.
  3. A lot of users probably just don't like how things were changed in the game when Riot addressed a particular complaint of theirs, which you can see after a lot of reworks, including successful ones. Sometimes, it's a case of players wanting to have their cake and eat it too, as is the case with queues (Riot specifically mentioned a few times how queues would always feature tradeoffs between time, quality and reliability), and sometimes it's just a case of players wanting things to be done differently, which can be entirely justified: a lot of players are still hung up about the Mordekaiser rework, for example, want him redone once more, and have likely wanted him to be reworked even as they opposed his changes in the Juggernaut Update. In more complex cases like Karma, you will have a lot of players suggesting different means of taking her in a new direction, depending on which version of Karma they like more and which balance changes they're responding to.

Does anyone know what they truly want in life?

Wants are a funny thing. The human wants are quite insatiable. That's why people should only stick to what they need.

And what the gameplay board needs....are a little memes.

They want the last champion that stomped them to get nerfed so it doesn't happen again.

I've learned as a low elo player, I probably shouldn't try and justify my idea of balance like a lot of others do. It just leads to a whole lot of circle jerking

Small buffs to lethality pls. To be fair there wouldnt be much discussion if we all had the same opinions.

You have to learn to ignore the children, dumb people and bronze Vs. I have nothing against bronze Vs, personally, but they have no idea how the game actually works.

Typically people just pick something random to cry about, because if there is nothing to cry about, they need to find an actual way to waste time.

New players complain about autofill because they dont know how bad it used to be :)

I'm a support main. I am still complaining about auto fill because I get a terrible adc in ranked. If auto-fill was in normals, that would be one thing. However, auto-fill in ranked might as well be ranked Aram. That is something worth complaining about.

The solo queue and dynamic queue are because people can't stand premades. It's dumb and that is what created this problem. I say premades because 2 people is still a premade.
